Crafted World, a celebratory exploration of the Spanish fashion house's rich history, opens March 2024 in Shanghai.

Crafted World, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/loewe-mens-fall-winter-2024-runway-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loewe's</a> first major exhibition in the house's history, is set to open in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/50s-style-inspiration-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spring</a> 2024 at the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/shanghai-china-fashion-week-photos-looks-designers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shanghai</a> Exhibition Center.&nbsp;
The exhibition celebrates the house's long, rich history, taking guests through over 178 years of expert craftsmanship, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/spanish-emerging-fashion-designers-barcelona" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spanish</a> heritage, and a commitment to a distinct sense of fashion and design. Beginning in 1846 in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/madrid-city-guide-2018" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Madrid</a>, when Loewe started as a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/leather-dresses-black-leather-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">leather</a>-making collective, the exhibit traces the early history and subsequent evolution of the brand, following it to its appointment as the official leather supplier of the Spanish Royal Crown, all the way up until its acquisition by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/setchu-wins-2023-lvmh-prize-satoshi-kuwata-young-designer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LVMH</a> and the nomination of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/loewe-spring-summer-2024-paris-fashion-week-runway-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jonathan Anderson</a> as creative director.&nbsp;

Spanning over 1,600 square feet, the exhibition acts as an interactive journey, featuring artifacts and artwork set against the backdrop of the busy streets of Madrid and the front rows of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/paris-museums-to-visit-other-than-the-louvre-culture-exhibits" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris</a> runways alike. Aptly titled, the collection highlights the craftsmanship integral to the identity of the luxury brand, focusing on communities of craftspeople, artisans, and collectors from around the world&mdash;featuring handmade goods from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/shwetambari-mody-indian-savoir-faire-artisanal-collaboration-interview-designer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Indian</a> ribbon-weavers, to Ecuadorian tapestry artists, to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/across-the-sea-jiani-liu-debut-novel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chinese</a> bamboo weavers. By showcasing the design and craftsmanship techniques that make up some of the brand's most iconic designs, Loewe celebrates its own legacy, as well as that of the artisans who are integral to the historic pieces.&nbsp;
Crafted World opens March 22, 2024, in Shanghai, and guests are invited to visit the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/planet-omega-exhibition-watches-new-york-city" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exhibition</a> for free until May 5, 2024. Following the temporary presentation of the collection in Shanghai, the exhibition will travel worldwide.&nbsp;
