Since Netflix dropped the trailer teaser for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/everything-we-know-about-bridgerton-season-3-cast-plot-details-trailer-netflix-release-date-spring-2024">Bridgerton Season 3</a> last month, we&rsquo;re doing a deep dive on Luke Newton (aka Colin Bridgerton) in honor of the show&rsquo;s May 16th release.

We know him as Colin Bridgerton (the third Bridgerton son) from our TV screens. In the show, Bridgerton is in a will they or won&rsquo;t they love dynamic with Penelope Featherington that leaves us all wanting more. In honor of the upcoming release of season 3, we&rsquo;ve decided to take a deeper look into the actor, Luke Newton.

He&rsquo;s A Foodie Like His Character

In an interview with <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/features/luke-newton-interview-bridgerton-season-2-b2037973.html?ref=popsugar.com&amp;=___psv__p_48762588__t_w__r_www.google.com%2F_">The Independent</a>, Newton shared that his love of food is just like his Bridgerton character&rsquo;s. &ldquo;I spoke to the team and said, &lsquo;If there&rsquo;s a dinner scene, if there&rsquo;s a scene where we&rsquo;re having tea, can he always just have a plateful?&rsquo;&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m really excited for [the fans] to see their direct input, like, &lsquo;Luke loves food like Colin does.&rsquo;&rdquo;

Newton Has A Similar Personality To Colin Bridgerton

Within the same interview in <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/features/luke-newton-interview-bridgerton-season-2-b2037973.html?ref=popsugar.com&amp;=___psv__p_48762588__t_w__r_www.google.com%2F">The Independent</a>, it was pointed out that most of Newton&rsquo;s Bridgerton cast members think of his real life personality to be very similar to Colin. As Newton himself is also a bit shy, and reserved like the character of his breakout role.&nbsp;

He Has Both ADHD And Dyslexia

As a child, Newton was diagnosed with the neurodivergent combo of both ADHD and Dyslexia, and he has gone on to call the learning difficulties of the conditions as his &ldquo;worst nightmare,&rdquo; especially when he needs to read a script for a role.

He Was On Disney Channel

Long before being cast in Bridgerton, Newton was a Disney Channel star, starring as a main character in The Lodge for two seasons (2016-2017) as a repairman at the North Star Hotel in the series.

Newton Is Friends With Nicola Coughlan IRL

Though his character is in a love story with Penelope Featherington which blooms from a friendship, the two actors, Newton, and Nicola Coughlan are friends in real life. The two have shared Instagram posts together over the years.&nbsp;
