This year, "Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" crosses the English Channel, ready to dazzle the British. Dior's most beautiful creations, designed by the brand's iconic artistic directors, will be exposed at the V&A in a spectacular setting. Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, Raf Simons, Maria Grazia Chiuri ... The seven creators who were all, for a time, at the head of the Avenue Montaigne will be honored, as the exhibit reflects on the influence each of them had on the brand in the last 70 years.
In Paris, the exhibition was a smash success. Every day, from its opening until its closing, the sidewalk in front of the Musée des Arts décoratifs was crowded with Parisians and tourists alike patiently waiting in line to enter.
This coming Saturday, February 2nd, the crowds will gather at the V&A Museum in London, to visit the largest exhibition ever devoted to Christian Dior in Britain. Additionally, the English edition promises to be bigger than ever, with an added section dedicated to the French couturier's fascination with British culture. "Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" is an event that fashion enthusiasts cannot miss if they are in London.
