Between art and savoir-faire: head off on a journey of discovery at Audemars Piguet
As one of the birthplaces of fine watchmaking, Vallé de Joux offers much more than breathtaking views. It’s also home to the small village of Brassus, where the Audemars Piguet Manufacture has been running its family business since 1875. Imagine heading off on a journey to discover Audemars Piguet’s ancestral savoir-faire and artistic universe…
Since 2013, Audemars Piguet has forged a partnership with Art Basel, one of the most important international events on the contemporary art scene. The show is staged annually in Basel (Switzerland), Miami Beach (United States) and Honk Kong (China). Audemars Piguet is committed to craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, and every year during the three Art Basel shows it invites different artists to creatively interpret its heritage and origins, as well as the themes of complexity and precision. Last March, the watchmaker unveiled its latest collaboration with Fernando Mastrangelo at Art Basel Hong Kong. The American artist’s incredible lounge will be unveiled in Basel, Switzerland, next June, accompanied by an audio installation from Norwegian artist Jana Winderen, which was also commissioned by the watchmaker. To celebrate the occasion, follow L’Officiel travel guide to enjoy fully this unique event.
