These past couple of weeks have proved to be beneficial for the soccer world at-large. Whether it be the intense match between Mexico and England this past weekend or the watch parties that have brought people together, the 2026 FIFA World Cup isn't stopping here when it comes to uniting the world.&nbsp;
In partnership with Global Citizen, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show will make its grand debut on Sunday, July 19, at New York-New Jersey Stadium. Performers of the grand event include Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay.
Today, July 8, Justin Bieber joined the star-studded lineup that will benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a one-of-a-kind cause that is working to expand quality education and football for children worldwide. The advisory board of the initiative includes Hugh Jackman, The Weeknd, Shakira, Serena Williams, Gianni Infantino, Kaká, Ivanka Trump, and Bank of America co-president Jim DeMare.
"The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," said the Grammy Award-winning Canadian singer, songwriter, and actor. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

Produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted, the 11-minute show is being curated by none other than Coldplay's Chris Martin, who is continuing his role as international curator of the Global Citizen Festival.&nbsp;
Other guests joining the halftime performance are characters from Sesame Street. Not only has the PBS television series playfully taught children for generations, but are vital to the show's message of providing quality education to little ones around the world. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and other members of The Muppets squad will also make an appearance during the act.
"This is the single largest gathering of artists united for a cause since Live Aid," said Co-Founder &amp; CEO of Global Citizen Hugh Evans. "And it could well be the most-watched 11 minutes of broadcast music performance in history."
As approximately 350 million children and adolescents are out of school, and about 133 million of those kids do not meet the minimum proficiency level in reading and math by the end of primary school on an international scale, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund will create opportunities for these numbers to decrease.
Whether you want to see which team wins the coveted World Cup or want to sing along with your favorite artist, this year's FIFA World Cup Final will make history in many ways. However, as the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is halfway to its $100 million USD goal, this unique first is the epitome of a feel-good event that benefits everyone involved.
