An estate in Palm Beach, Florida with exceptionally famous former owners was recently sold for $36 million. The property, located on Billionaire's Row, is the old beach house of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who purchased the home in 1980 and used it as their refuge for a time.

Interestingly, the couple reportedly never visited the seven-bedroom mansion before buying it. Instead, they sent people to take pictures for them, so they could remain anonymous during the buying process. After purchasing the house, they had plans for major renovations.

Originally built by architect Addison Mizner in 1919, the Spanish-style residence has a stucco exterior and terracotta tiles. The over-14,000-square-foot interior still maintains an air of opulence, with details such as complex patterned ceilings in several rooms, chandeliers, and large French doors that occupy an entire wall of the formal dining room, providing a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. Other amenities at the property include a three-car garage, two pools, tennis courts, beach access and a cabin.
