The daughter and granddaughter of  Princess of Monaco offer rare insights on the late Grace Kelly.

With a lineage of strong women, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/prince-harry-meghan-markle-stepping-down-royal-duties">royal family</a> of Monaco has a legacy that marks history. Among the names that stand out is <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/old-hollywood-actress-beauty-tips-makeup-skincare-marilyn-monroe-audrey-hepburn">Grace Kelly</a>, who after a powerful career in Hollywood&mdash;she starred in <a href="https://lwlies.com/articles/alfred-hitchcock-heroines-grace-kelly-tippi-hedren/">Alfred Hitchcock films</a> like Rear Window and Dial M to Kill&mdash;became a very own princess, and was known for her grace and refinement. It is no wonder that her daughter and granddaughter, Princess <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/pop-culture/o-que-aconteceu-com-caroline-de-monaco">Caroline of Monaco</a> and <a href="https://www.hellomagazine.com/tags/charlotte-casiraghi/">Charlotte Casiraghi</a>, respectively, have endless stories to share about her to this day.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Although I haven't met her, I see a lot of your mother's things in you. The relationship between mother and daughter is a complex thing, the mother occupies an all-powerful place, even when she is loving and caring,&rdquo; Casiraghi recently revealed in an interview about the similarities between her mother and Kelly to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8907063/Princess-Caroline-Hanover-says-mother-Grace-Kelly-told-did-not-need-school.html">Madame Figaro.</a> "When I see my grandmother's films, I see her grace, her demand, her discipline and also her mystery."

However, Princess Caroline of Monaco had a different impression: &ldquo;But I don&#39;t look like her,&quot; she <a href="https://www.tatler.com/article/princess-caroline-of-monaco-charlotte-casiraghi-talk-princess-cliches-and-grace-kelly">said</a>. &quot;Physically I look like my paternal grandmother. She was a very free and original woman. She was a nurse during the war, then director [of a rehabilitation center for ex-convicts].&quot; 
 
When the subject turned to feminism, the contrast became even greater: &quot;I belong to a generation in which the issue was alive. However, I remember my mother saying to me in good faith: &#39;You don&#39;t have to go to school,&#39;&quot; Caroline revealed. She went on to recount a university professor who told her &quot;with incredible cruelty: &#39;You are taking the place of a deserving student.&#39;&quot; 
 
&quot;But I always wanted to face obstacles,&quot; she said. &quot;I always felt like I was in competition with the boys, I wanted to do better than them, at school or in sports.&quot;
