Nour Hammour is the Paris-based leather jacket line worn by the world's top supermodels and a tight-knit crowd of fashion girls. Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Blake Lively, Chiara Ferragni, Halsey, Hailee Steinfeld, Iggy Azalea, Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Ruby Rose are just a few of the stars who have worn one of the label's signature studded jackets. Founded by Erin Conry Webb and Nour Hammour, the two met in Paris at Instituto Marangoni in Paris and started designing jackets for friends before taking things to the next level.
All of the leather is treated in the South of France, and hand-studded in a secret atelier in Paris. Before being picked up by Neiman Marcus stores all over the U.S., the designer duo focused their efforts on couture creations — working with clients to customize everything from the color of leather to the unique studding patterns of the jacket. In fact, the typical Nour Hammour jacket takes a few full days to completely map out the studding pattern and come to fruition.
When we stopped by the stunning atelier on an early morning during couture week (where the leather is cut, moodboards are everywhere and the designers plot their latest collection) various people were buzzing around the opulant Avenue Foch space, sketching, going through patterns and managing orders on computers. Next, we visited the studding spot, where a French artisian applied custom studs one by one.
For this particular video, the label customized one of its signatures — the Elysee Studded Leather Moto Jacket — with pink Swarovski crystals in the negative spaces, and personalized intitals in the same variety on the cuff. For those adventerous ones who want to go beyond the standard look though, Nour Hammour can do everything from rearrange the studding patterns to swapping out various colors (think: metallic purple).
