Philipp Plein is always in another world. For his Spring 2020 line, the German designer leans into his otherworldliness and brings one of our favorite films, Mad Max, to life. Bandit truckers, apocalyptic rockers, and models on fire invaded the set, a stage lined in bright fluorescent lights. Rock music pumped from the speakers as the models began the show. The women's collection is characterized by mini dresses with sequins, Swarovski and cuissard boots with super-precious straps, '80s-style fluorescent dresses, leather jackets, and high-heeled sandals. Plein's urban male rocker, on the other hand, wears studded sneakers, printed jeans, complete with flames, black leather pieces and the quintessential bandana on the face. The hip hop style that has characterized the brand is transformed into a rock symphony and the result is a group of super glamorous metalheads. The final round of the show was set to the music of Depeche Mode, as the fluttering, fire-breathing guitars and models, the characters of Mad Max, return to end the spectator show that will leave you speechless.
