If you've followed the red carpet recently, you might've seen a familiar name tied to stars who walk the space. Talents such as Teyana Taylor, Zendaya, and Margot Robbie are all under the well-crafted trance that comes directly from Ashi Studio.
Founded by Mohammed Ashi, the Saudi Arabian fashion designer has transformed his brand into a powerhouse that many of today's acts are obsessing over. After graduating from Paris' Esmod International Fashion University in 2004, he headed to the United States to hone his craft while working for greats like Givenchy and Elie Saab.
But it wasn't until 2007 that Ashi decided to open his couture house, which was based in Beirut, Lebanon. As he continued to produce garments that combined modern design with traditional craftsmanship, the label received lots of attention for its minimalist aesthetic that maintained a sculptural silhouette throughout its pieces.

Ashi Studio would prominently make itself known through ready-to-wear and couture collections before making its way on the red carpet. For example, his design was seen on director Ava DuVernay at the 2017 Academy Awards, which was one of the most talked-about looks of the night due to the administration's attack on seven majority-Muslim countries through executive orders about immigration.
Over a decade after its founding, Ashi decided to pack up shop and head to Paris to relocate the brand's atelier. Cardi B's dreamy white 2018 Grammys look, Deepika Padukone's hot pink gown at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Beyoncé's stunning handmade black feathered piece for the Black Is King film, and Queen Rania of Jordan wearing a chic dress for her 50th birthday were huge moments for Ashi Studio at the time.
In 2020, Ashi was appointed as a mentor to Saudi Arabia's Fashion Commission, a government body that is meant to develop the country's fashion industry. Three years later, the designer became the first talent from the Gulf region to show at Paris Haute Couture Week under the French Haute Couture Federation's official calendar. Named a fashion innovator by Forbes in 2024, Ashi continues to hold star power in the industry and beyond.

From Mindy Kaling's strapless golden look at the 2025 Golden Globes to Anok Yai rocking a piece from the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 collection to the Time100 Gala, it's apparent that Ashi Studio is becoming the brand to wear for grand celebrations, events, and everything in between. Still, there are two stars whose relationship with the Saudi house has continued to flourish most stylishly.
While attending events ranging from film festivals to award ceremonies, Taylor has been stunting in pieces from the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 collection, adding to the Oscar-nominated fashion icon's lookbook of great looks. Throughout her press run for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Zendaya also wore pieces from that same collection, which featured distinct spider-inspired details.

The charisma, charm, and allure that Ashi Studio has contributed to many celebrities this year alone is certainly something to celebrate.
