Dior Celebrates 70 Years of Fashion History with New Coffee Table Book

The commemorative tome highlights designers who have reinterpreted the silhouette after Christian Dior's death.

Another item for your year-end gifts wishlist: the book The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture. With a launch scheduled for November 28th, by the publisher Artbook, the book celebrates the history of the famed French fashion house.

In addition to recounting the work of its founder, Christian Dior, who died in 1957, the book explores the art of the six designers who reinterpreted and maintained the key elements of the original couturier, including: Yves Sait Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Churi (the first and only woman on the list).

You'll have to wait a few weeks to get your hands on a copy, but in the meantime, you can take a peek inside The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture below.
