After 13 profound years at the French luxury label, it's time to say goodbye.

As said by English poet and writer Geoffrey Chaucer, "all good things must come to an end." Julien Dossena is leaving the helm of artistic director of Rabanne after a stellar 13-year tenure, the brand announced on Wednesday.
With four years of experience at Balenciaga under former creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, the French creative founded his own brand, Atto, which was eventually shortlisted for the inaugural LVMH Prize. Shortly after, he was appointed artistic director of the brand and hasn't looked back since.
"With a singular vision, he redefined the House for a new generation—honoring its radical heritage while opening new paths for expression, desirability and innovation," the French-based luxury label said on Wednesday morning. "Julien has been the architect of a remarkable chapter in the House's history; challenging conventions, reimagining icons, and bringing together craftsmanship, culture, and modern femininity."
After a solid debut for Spring/Summer 2014, Dossena made a strong impression on fashion critics and beyond for taking iconic codes like metal mesh and assembly and transforming them into modern yet comfortable pieces. Within five years, he turned the Rabanne name into a brand everyone should have their eyes on, collection after collection.

Rabanne's signature Space Age-inspired look was transformed into bold statements that held mass appeal to stars like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and Sabrina Carpenter. Decisions like shortening the brand's name from Paco Rabanne to Rabanne, releasing the Fame fragrance, and collaborating with H&amp;M on a highly anticipated collection were all thanks to Dossena.
After his Resort 2027 "women's wear, party '26 and spring" endeavor, rumors began surrounding a new artistic director of Rabanne (none other than Olivier Rousteing, of course). Yet, with the news of Dossena's departure from the label, it confirms that a new face to the brand will take charge of the fashion and fragrance business of Rabanne and solidifies the fact that the game of creative director musical chairs isn't going away anytime soon.
Even though Dossena's next move is unknown, the work, soul, and spirit he gave the brand for nearly a decade and a half is truly unmatched.&nbsp;
"As he departs his role, we extend our deepest gratitude for his talent, his vision, and his unwavering commitment," Rabanne concluded on its social media post. "Thank you, Julien!" And thank you indeed to the creative yet innovative genius that is Julien Dossena.
