Ahead of her appearance at one of the tournament’s most anticipated quarter-final matches, the German model, podcaster, and content creator caught up with L’OFFICIEL to talk stadium style, her own relationship with fashion, and having fun.

For many fans, a game-day outfit is a no-brainer: your favorite jersey, comfortable shoes, and a pair of go-to pants. But for Laura Abla, attending a match isn't just a chance to support her partner, Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo; it's a creative process.
From the earliest days of her career, Abla has exuded the singular quality that embodies the fashion industry at its best: the ability to express oneself. In the years since, Abla has stepped forward as one of the Internet's most loved style authorities. From candid get-ready-with-me style videos and posts with outfit details to striking editorial shoots, her undeniable charm and eye for unique looks has captured the attention of her avid followers in Germany. Now, with her presence at the 2026 World Cup, she steps onto the global stage.&nbsp;
"From the beginning, it was important that I didn't lose myself in the role of 'the footballer's partner.' I wanted my love for fashion and my own personality to remain visible, while always remembering that being there to support my partner is the main reason I'm at the stadium," Abla tells L'OFFICIEL. "That's where we found our signature twist: creating personalised looks that connect fashion with football in a meaningful way."

L’OFFICIEL: How did you approach putting together your look for the quarterfinal match? Was there a specific aesthetic, mood, or source of inspiration that guided this outfit (and your World Cup wardrobe more broadly)?
LAURA ABLA: I work very closely with my stylist and friend, Morena Verovic. We developed a really intuitive creative process, so every look feels authentic to me. From the beginning, it was important that I didn't lose myself in the role of "the footballer's partner." I wanted my love for fashion and my own personality to remain visible, while always remembering that being there to support my partner is the main reason I'm at the stadium. That's where we found our signature twist: creating personalised looks that connect fashion with football in a meaningful way. For the quarterfinal, we featured a childhood photo of my partner on my top, paired with a fresh-off-the-runway Laura Gerte skirt and Casadei football-inspired vintage heels. It felt playful, personal, and emotional, while still staying true to my style.
 ⁠L’O: At an occasion like a football match, how do you balance dressing for comfort, the atmosphere of the match, and your personal style when putting together a game-day look? Do you have any stadium style&nbsp;do’s&nbsp;or don’ts? LA: For me, comfort and style don't have to compete. Of course, you're spending hours at the stadium, so feeling comfortable is important, but I also believe that when you feel good in what you're wearing, it gives you confidence and lets you enjoy the moment even more.&nbsp;So&nbsp;I&nbsp;don't think there are any rules&nbsp;or dos and don’ts when&nbsp;it comes to&nbsp;(stadium)&nbsp;styles. Wear what makes you feel good, have fun with it, and don't overthink it. L’O: As your career has changed across modeling, podcasting, and creating content online, has your relationship with fashion changed, too? Do you see the industry differently now than you did when you were first starting out? LA: Definitely. The more my career has expanded, the more people have started paying attention to what I do. I've realised that fashion is a way to express myself without having to say a single word. I've always had an interest in it, but over the years, that interest has grown a lot. I enjoy experimenting with different styles much more now because my journey has made me a lot more confident as well.

L’O: Can you describe your approach to fashion when it comes to your everyday style? What role does fashion play in your life when you’re not attending events or creating content?
LA: It really depends on what I'm doing that day. I honestly love being lazy, and then I'll throw on whatever is in my wardrobe without giving it much thought. But if I'm going out, I put just as much thought into my outfit as I do for an event or a shoot. I always ask myself, "Who do I want to be today?" I play with different roles and versions of myself. But if I'm completely honest, most days I just want to be in pajamas.
L’O: Your personal style spans so many different occasions and moments, but each look still has your unique, effortlessly cool vibe to it. What are three of your favorite pieces from your wardrobe that you couldn’t live without?
LA: I love building a look around really good basics with interesting silhouettes. From there, it's all about having fun. My partner would probably call my favorite shoes ugly, but to me, they're the best part of an outfit. Add a fun accessory or a great pair of sunglasses, and suddenly you can take the same basics in so many different directions.
⁠L’O:&nbsp;You’ve built a loyal community online around your personality and style. How important is authenticity when sharing moments like this one with your audience?
LA: Of course, I love fashion and beautiful moments, but I'm also pretty good at not taking myself too seriously. My approach to content has always been: live a little—it's really not that deep. I just want to have fun, and hopefully that makes it fun for people to watch, too.

L’O: ⁠Can you recall any specific standout moments from the 2026 World Cup? Once the tournament concludes, what’s the very first thing you’ll do to recharge at home?
LA: I’ve been my partner's personal cheerleader for quite a while now, but experiencing a World Cup with him for the first time was something so special. Seeing him play on that stage and being able to share that moment with him&nbsp;really&nbsp;felt surreal. Once we're back home, I'm&nbsp;definitely ready&nbsp;to become full-on pajama Laura again.&nbsp;Basically,&nbsp;I will just&nbsp;switch between doing absolutely nothing and sleeping as much as possible. These time zones are&nbsp;definitely not&nbsp;for the weak. L’O: ⁠Every It girl has a signature. What’s yours—the non-negotiable detail, habit, or mindset—that always feels unmistakably you?
LA: I think my signature is probably my unexpected side quests. I tend to fully commit to whatever I’m into in the moment. Maybe I’ll have a pop star era for a few months, maybe I’ll decide I want to be an actress for a while. You never really know what you’re going to get with me, but I think that’s kind of the fun part. I want to try things, experience different versions of life, and have as much fun as possible along the way. Remember: Live a little, it’s not that deep.
