Past and future, sporty and sophisticated&mdash;the maison's latest line was all about the art of contrast.&nbsp;

For its 2027 Cruise show, Louis Vuitton landed in New York City. As any New Yorker can attest, in the six years since the maison has presented a collection in the city, much has happened&mdash;including the remodeling (and recent reopening) of the historic Frick Collection, which is why the maison landed on the iconic site as its show venue. Surrounded by hundreds of the world's most precious paintings, the museum's legendary gilded interiors, and intricate architectural detailing, Louis Vuitton presented its latest collection: a true celebration of all things design.&nbsp;
To the tune of upbeat tracks, the maison showed an eclectic line of garments that dabbled in extremes. '80s-era flair met modern, minimalistic designs, while romantic ruffles meshed with sculptural leather, and sleek sophistication converged with downtown edge.&nbsp;
In Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2027 collection, even the smallest of details spoke volumes. From captivating zebra-print belts to eye-catching embroidery to extra-wide lapels, each and every element held a purpose. Footwear appeared in the form of sporty sneakers and bold leather boots, while handbags ranged from pared-back and elegant to positively eccentric&mdash;as seen in silhouettes evocative of everything from Grecian columns to boxing gloves to boomboxes.&nbsp;
In keeping with the season's trends thus far, mini hemlines appeared&nbsp;en masse on the runway. The skirts were breezy, the shorts were ultra-cropped, capris continued their sartorial renaissance, and several trousers were cut above the ankle.&nbsp;
In line with the venue's inspiring artistic presence, graphic patterns had a bold presence within the collection. Screenprinted silhouettes and an array of looks featuring work by the late Keith Haring brought New York's iconic energy to the forefront.&nbsp;
In the front row sat friends of the house, including Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, Chase Infiniti, Cate Blanchett, Ava DuVernay, Jennifer Connelly, Felix of Stray Kids, Hoyeon Jung, Alicia Vikander, Amy Adams, and Chlo&euml; Sevigny, among others.&nbsp;
