After it was spotted prominently in the men's Fall/Winter 2026 collection, the maison has now officially welcomed the new textile.&nbsp;

After kicking off Men's Fashion Week in Paris earlier this year, Louis Vuitton is continuing to elevate its house codes, collection by collection. Throughout its&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/louis-vuitton-mens-fall-winter-2026-collection-runway-photos-celebrities-front-row-bambam-runway-debut">Men's Fall/Winter 2026 collection</a>, sensations like ultra-smart and sophisticated styles clashed beautifully at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
Even though pastel hues, wrinkled tops, and an incredible soundtrack dominated the runway, silk and nylon came together to create a Louis Vuitton-exclusive: Silk Tech. Introduced on January 20, the fresh material made itself known through handbags, backpacks, a puffer jacket, and a trench coat designed by creative director Pharrell Williams.
Merging the qualities of the two classic textiles, Silk Tech has a silk feel while maintaining water-repellent, anti-creasing, fray-resistant, and lightweight properties that nylon is known for. At face value, offerings that consist of the material may appear as soft leather. But it's simply the twill-woven hybrid thread.

Although this creation is new to the house, it continues the longstanding legacy of travel. The strength and balance of 20th-century hot air balloons and silk parachutes were only possible with the combination of mechanical qualities and structural components. Decades later, Silk Tech continues that tradition with its build and look.
To introduce the textile, the classic brown and gold Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern fills the light, luxurious material in the midst of expanding the pattern's presence in house selections. From athleisure styles and classic hooded windbreakers to a permanent selection of duffle bags and travel goods, the durability of Silk Tech is out of this world. In fact, a Louis Vuitton Silk Tech City bag can support up to 110 pounds.
On July 9, ready-to-wear pieces, luggage, footwear, and accessories in the Silk Tech material were made available in select boutiques globally.
