From Focker-In-Law to Sense and Sensibility, the industry's buzziest projects had the opportunity to present themselves at this year's CinemaCon.&nbsp;

It's no secret that this year is an extremely buzzy year for movies, and this past week at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, fans definitely got the updates, sneak peeks, and cast content they were looking for. For any non-cinephiles, CinemaCon is the world's largest trade show for the film industry, held at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Since 2011, CinemaCon has provided a space for the film industry's giants to meet fans, give seminars, and present trailers for the year's most anticipated films. This year was particularly exciting, with stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Zendaya in attendance, promoting Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part III, respectively.
Not to mention, fans got to see exclusive trailers and content from some of this year's most anticipated projects, such as Focker In-Law, which stars Ariana Grande, and Christopher Nolan's star-studded project, The Odyssey.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Robert Downey Jr. Returns for Avengers: Doomsday&nbsp;</h2>

Disney presented the first full trailer for the long-awaited next Avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday, as one of the closing events on Thursday. The clip showed a first look at Robert Downey Jr.who previously played Iron Man in other Avengers variants&mdash;as the new masked villain, Doctor Doom.&nbsp;
This latest film, out on December 18, brings together a plethora of Marvel characters old and new. In the trailer alone, Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) is seen fighting Gambit (Channing Tatum), and Patrick Stewart returns to reprise his role as X-Men's Professor Xavier. Chris Evans returns as the loveable Steve Rogers, who appears before Thor (Chris Hemsworth), as the Norse god's Mjolnir hammer flies into the former's hands.
Chris Evans famously said he would not return to Marvel unless he felt the presence of Steve Rogers to be absolutely necessary, so needless to say, fans are on the edge of their seats.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Ariana Grande takes off her crown and meets the parents</h2>

Fresh off her Oscar-nominated performance as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, Ariana Grande returns to the big screen and to her roots in comedy for the Meet The Parents spin-off, Focker In-Law. The "Twilight Zone" singer will appear alongside Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro, who will be reprising their roles. Stiller's character grappled with impressing his girlfriend's father, and now the tables have turned: Grande plays the love interest of Stiller's son, and based on past films in the installation, who knows what hilarious hijinks this family will get up to.

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey&nbsp;</h2>

After winning the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2023 for Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan is back with his film adaptation of the ancient Greek epic,&nbsp;The Odyssey. The film will star Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya. At CinemaCon, Nolan shared a key section that featured the Trojan Horse. While the Trojan Horse is not featured in the trailer, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzw2ttJD2qQ">the official trailer</a> was released soon after.&nbsp;
"Why The Odyssey? It's a story that has fascinated generation after generation for 3,000 years," Nolan said at the event, according to <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwyk2xrkvnzo">the BBC</a>. "It's not a story, but&nbsp;the&nbsp;story. I wanted to grab the exciting opportunity of bringing it to a modern cinema audience."

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya return for Dune: Part III</h2>

The stars of Dune, including Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa&mdash;plus director Denis Villeneuvewere present to introduce the seven-minute opening scene from the third film, marking the finale of this epic saga.&nbsp;
<a target="_blank" href="https://variety.com/2026/film/news/dune-3-cinemacon-opening-scene-footage-chalamet-1236721718/" class="sc-2554282c-0 cDYatN" rel="noopener">Variety</a> remarked on the film, saying "things get violent, loud and deadly, fast".
According to the BBC, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_9vCamtuPY">a trailer</a>&nbsp;was released last month, and the film will be released on 18 December&mdash;yes, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday, setting up a "Dunesday" heavyweight box office battle.

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Ocean's Prequel&nbsp;</h2>

Margot Robbie revealed some information about the Ocean's prequel film, which will take place at the crown jewel of the Formula One circuit, the Monaco Grand Prix. The focus will be on Danny Ocean's parents in 1962, and will star Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper, presumably as Ocean's parents.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Game of Thrones movie gains title: Aegon's Quest</h2>

News of a Game of Thrones feature film broke last night, and yesterday a working title was shared: Aegon's Quest. The first-ever big-screen &ldquo;Game of Thrones&rdquo; epic was shown as part of Warner Bros.&rsquo; &ldquo;2027 and beyond&rdquo; slate.
The only plot details available right now are that the film will follow the original conqueror, Aegon Targaryen, from George R.R Martin's expansive A Song of Ice and Fire novels. For those not tapped into the Game of Thrones lore, the Targaryens are the dragon-riding, incest-loving rulers of Westeros in Martin's books and HBO's Game of Thrones universe, which includes prequels House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Sense and Sensibility starring Daisy Edgar Jones</h2>

Focus Features revealed a first look at their Sense and Sensibility adaptation starring Daisy Edgar-Jones. She is joined by Esm&eacute; Creed-Miles, with the pair playing the Dashwood sisters.&nbsp;
