After last week&rsquo;s brutal ending of Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 3&mdash;Stephen forcing Lucy to admit she lied about being sexually assaulted on tape&mdash;Episode 4 doesn&rsquo;t so much reset the board as it presses down harder on every open wound. &ldquo;Fix Me Up, Girl&rdquo; is uncomfortable, tense, and quietly devastating, with Stephen once again at the center of nearly everyone&rsquo;s unraveling. When is it okay to ask why they invited him to the wedding in the first place??&nbsp;

<h2>Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 4 Recap: &ldquo;Fix Me Up, Girl&rdquo;</h2>

The episode opens with fallout on multiple fronts. Diana discovers she&rsquo;s pregnant, and when Stephen inevitably finds out, his response is exactly as volatile and controlling as expected. Shocker. Any illusion that this news might soften him evaporates almost instantly; instead, it becomes another lever he can pull, another situation he can dominate.
Meanwhile, Bree&rsquo;s storyline briefly teases something gentler. She&rsquo;s selected for a special photography exhibit&mdash;an actual win for her&mdash;but it&rsquo;s immediately undercut when she runs into Oliver. He drags her into his office, berates her for a photo she sent, and launches into a cruel, manipulative breakdown of her supposed insecurities. If Oliver was previously unsettling, this episode confirms him as something far worse.
Wrigley, surprisingly, becomes Bree&rsquo;s emotional lifeline. While waiting for Pippa, he helps Bree sort through her portfolio, poses for her camera, and reassures her that Evan was genuinely into her. It&rsquo;s a tender and validating moment for Bree. When Pippa finally arrives and brushes him off to go see Diana instead, it&rsquo;s hard not to feel for him&hellip; though the episode makes it clear that sympathy may be short-lived.

Lucy, still spiraling like always, reconnects with Alex for a drink. He challenges her on her belief that she&rsquo;s fundamentally terrible and pushes her to apologize to Max, who happens to be at the same bar. She does, and for a fleeting moment, it feels like growth. That moment passes quickly, replaced by more confusing intimacy with Alex and, soon after, another summons to the dean&rsquo;s office.
There, Caitie and Marianne discuss reopening Caitie's case, believing Lucy&rsquo;s story could corroborate it. Lucy is trapped: telling the truth would expose her lie and Stephen&rsquo;s recording; continuing the lie perpetuates harm. The situation worsens when a Facebook group labeling Chris a rapist appears, listing both Caitie and Lucy as victims. Even Lucy is visibly disgusted by Marianne&rsquo;s performative support. Bree comforts Lucy, unaware she&rsquo;s being pulled deeper into a lie meant to protect Pippa.

These events push Bree to reevaluate Evan. Believing she misjudged him, she goes to reconcile, ushering us into the 2015 timeline for the first time since the premiere.
Stephen's initial attempts to provoke Lucy and Bree failed spectacularly (I love to see an evil man's plans fail). Lucy tells him she feels validated knowing he&rsquo;ll never change. Bree refuses to let &ldquo;one mistake&rdquo; ruin everything.
But Stephen doesn&rsquo;t leave empty-handed. When Wrigley dances with Pippa and admits he&rsquo;s pretending she&rsquo;s &ldquo;the one I&rsquo;m still in love with,&rdquo; the truth becomes visible&mdash;to Stephen most of all. He checks Wrigley&rsquo;s phone, sees the call logs between Wrigley and Bree, and smiles. Uh oh. It appears the platonic friendship we've seen grow on screen between the two may not be platonic after all.&nbsp;
Stephen may have lost this round&mdash;but he&rsquo;s just found his next weapon (as the psychopath he is).&nbsp;
