The men's fashion event kicks off in Florence with over 700 brands and three new guest designers: Soshiotsuki, Hed Mayner, and Shinyakozuka.

Pitti Uomo's 109th edition has officially kicked off in Florence, where designers are presenting men's collections for Fall/Winter 2026-2027. The show is slated to run from Jan. 13 to 16. The official theme of this year's Pitti Uomo shows is "Motion," understood as a body in motion and a metaphor for a fashion that follows the rhythm of our changing times.
This concept also emerges perfectly in the campaign shot by Chris Vidal and Tuomas Latinen, a story of progression through images that capture the moment of movement, in elegant black and white that enhances its kinetic effect.

<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: center;">Must-See Projects</h2>

In addition to Fantastic Classic, Dynamic Attitude, and Superstyling, a new version of the Futuro Maschile pavilion will be presented, as well as a new approach to the world of beauty with Hi Beauty, dedicated to the proposals of experimental perfumery. Also returning are Scandinavian Manifesto, J Quality, with its Japanese vision and manufacturing, Japan Leather Showroom, dedicated to the world of accessories, and Code Korea, which will take over the Polveriera.
Among the most highly anticipated projects is Consinee, which returns with a project by Galib Gassanoff and an installation curated by Sara Maino. Finally, Sebiro Sanpo, the European debut of a Made in Japan project, offers up a spontaneous parade that will bring formal menswear to the streets of Florence.

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Who are the guest designers at Pitti Uomo 109?</h2>

Three new guest designers will present their Fall/Winter 2026-2027 collections at the 109th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence. Soshiotsuki, a Japanese brand founded by Soshi Otsuki&mdash;winner of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers 2025&mdash;will present his collection with a fashion show event. His style embraces movement, with references to baburu keiki, the Japanese era of the late 1980s, when men dressed in Giorgio Armani on the streets of Tokyo.
His vision of tailoring combines proportions and constructions that draw on the structure of the kimono, but also on the world of judo and the very concept of movement.
"It's been fifteen years since I tried four times to enter a fashion competition in Italy, which I ultimately never won," says Soshi Otsuki. "At the time, I thought the dark atmosphere of Japan wouldn't go well with the bright Italian sky, and I put the idea aside. Today, over a decade later, it's a great honor for me to be able to show in Florence. I'm intrigued and excited by the idea of seeing the effect of SOSHIOTSUKI's clothes under the Italian sky."

The second guest designer for Pitti Uomo 109 was Hed Mayner, who will present his Fall/Winter 2026-2027 collection on Jan. 14. 
&ldquo;I'm very happy to be here and to be at Pitti Immagine Uomo. Florence is the first city where I worked at the beginning of my career; it will be a pleasure to be back in this city. This context will stimulate me to experiment with new things,&rdquo; said Mayner.
His menswear follows an almost architectural foundation&mdash;they're clothes to be lived in that pursue an idea of movement, in keeping with the theme of Pitti Immagine Uomo.

The third and final guest designer at Pitti Immagine Uomo 109 is Shinya Kozuka with his eponymous brand Shinyakozuka. His collections are distinguished by generous proportions and a stylistic elegance reminiscent of Japan.

"My journey as a designer began in Osaka, my hometown. It blossomed in London, grew in Paris, and then took shape in Tokyo. Now, in Florence, another beautiful chapter begins. I'm truly grateful to be exploring this new territory and honored to participate in Pitti Immagine Uomo," says Kozuka, who will present his creative work on Jan. 14.
