From TikTok beginnings to Netflix&rsquo;s Big Mistakes, Jack Innanen talks style, inspiration, and embracing &ldquo;boyfriend-core," ahead of his red carpet premiere.&nbsp;

Jack Innanen is stepping into a major moment. With the release of Big Mistakes, the rising actor is entering a new chapter&mdash;one that blends sharp comedy, standout performances, and a growing presence both on and off screen. We caught up with Innanen as he prepared for the show&rsquo;s New York premiere, where excitement, anticipation, and a strong sense of personal style all came into play. Fresh off set and still taking it all in, he spoke with us about fashion, inspiration, and the experience of bringing his latest role to life. Keep scrolling for our full interview.&nbsp;

L&rsquo;OFFICIEL: How involved were you in putting together your look tonight&mdash;are you more hands-on or hands-off? Can you walk us through your outfit?
JACK INNANEN: This is Loewe head to toe, I absolutely adore them (and their candles). I was so excited about this beautiful red for the Netflix/Big Mistakes colour combo. I have to give full credit to my stylist Brian Meller, he is a talent when it comes to the style&rsquo;s vision, he comes up with it all. He sorts, sources, and selects, then presents different ideas to me for discussion&mdash;but he has a 100% hit rate. I love you, Brian.
L&rsquo;O: Who are your style inspirations? If you could have anyone&rsquo;s closet, whose would it be?
JI: When we are figuring out press looks, Brian and I chat a lot about Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elordi for recent inspirations, with the occasional Austin Butler look too. For my personal life, I adore Alain Delon&rsquo;s style. Also, I&rsquo;d love to steal Tyler, the Creator&rsquo;s watch collection. Tyler, please lend me one of your Cartiers, thank you.

L&rsquo;O: How would you describe your everyday style? Do you have any signature clothing or accessories?
JI: Lately, it has been much more cozy workwear. I heard the term &lsquo;boyfriend-core&rsquo; lately, and I definitely have been in that world&ndash;more comfortable every day, but elevated pieces. Clothes that are basic, but simply cozier, elevated versions&ndash;something [with] subtle, fun textures or pleats or cuts or whatever. My signature lately has been pleated raw denim and some vintage &lsquo;70s watches.
L&rsquo;O: How did you spend your day leading up to tonight&rsquo;s premiere?
JI: Anxious. Not in a scared way but in an anticipatory way, like back in school when you had an exam, it&rsquo;s all you can think about that day. I told myself I was going to run and work out and work in between my last fitting in the morning and the premiere but pretty much just paced around my room for a couple hours.

L&rsquo;O: If you had to choose one character from Adults&mdash;including Paul Baker&mdash;who do you think would make the best roommate?
JI: Is it horrible to say Paul Baker? I think he would be the most chill, which is my top roommate qualification. Maybe Anton or Samir, they would be fun, but Anton might be too pent up, and Samir would be too much of a slob. I think Billy and Issa would be too stressed (love you though girls &lt;3).&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: Do you have any surprising prep you do before a big premiere like this?
JI: EAT. I love food and need food and I pack my suit full of snacks. I had almonds hidden from Brian (he doesn&rsquo;t like lumpy pockets) in my jacket last night. I chug milk and yogurt before too.&nbsp;
L&rsquo;O: Do you have a favorite memory on the set of your Netflix show Big Mistakes?
JI: Our Boggle league. We started playing Boggle between set ups on set and it grew and became pretty intense with some blood and tears. Also, the proposal scene where Laurie walks out filming with her phone&mdash;I just kept breaking. I never break, but it was just so impossible not to laugh when Laurie Metcalf is sneaking up in front of you crouching with her phone in people's faces screaming full volume at them.
