Each year, new Broadway shows grace the New York City stages with an eclectic mix of actors. Here are all the reality TV stars who made their way to the Broadway stage.

When shows begin their run on Broadway, the cast is typically made up of actors who have dedicated their careers to earning a place on the theater world&rsquo;s most illustrious stages. But as a production settles into its run, audience interest can wane, pushing producers to find new ways to reignite demand. One of the most effective and increasingly common strategies is stunt casting.
Stunt casting involves bringing celebrities, musicians, or television personalities into Broadway productions to boost ticket sales and generate renewed buzz. In recent years, reality television stars in particular have become some of the most visible (and successful) examples of this trend. From social media phenoms to Bravo favorites, and now The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives breakout Whitney Leavitt, these personalities have translated their on-screen fame into live theatrical performances. Here is a round-up of all the reality television stars who have graced the Broadway stages.&nbsp;

<h2>Whitney Leavitt</h2>

Whitney Leavitt is best known as the ultimate villain on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, a reputation that made her one of the show&rsquo;s most talked-about figures. She recently expanded her reality-TV r&eacute;sum&eacute; by becoming a semi-finalist on Dancing With the Stars alongside partner Mark Ballas, where judges consistently praised her star power and performance quality. That same stage presence is now on full display with her Broadway debut. Leavitt made her debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Feb. 2 and will continue in the role through March 15 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City.
This stint places Leavitt among a growing roster of reality television stars who have successfully transitioned from the small screen to the Broadway stage. The role of Roxie Hart, famous for her seductive confidence and iconic choreography, has become a popular entry point for reality stars, allowing performers like Leavitt to merge celebrity appeal with theatrical spectacle while drawing fresh audiences to the long-running production.

<h2>Charli D&rsquo;Amelio&nbsp;</h2>

During the pandemic, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/charli-damelio-bralette-belted-skirt-outfit-front-row-prada-fall-winter-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charli D&rsquo;Amelio</a> became one of the most-watched TikTok stars with her lip-syncing and dancing videos. But before her TikTok virality, D&rsquo;Amelio was a competitive dancer from Norwalk, Connecticut. Her consistent growth on social media landed her family a reality television show, red carpets, and intense exposure. 
In October of 2024, D&rsquo;Amelio made her Broadway debut in the jukebox musical &amp; Juliet, where she played a prominent ensemble member, the Chairman. She joined the cast at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre until September 2025, after extending her original run on the show. Just like any reality television star who has stepped into on-stage performances, D&rsquo;Amelio showcased a new side of herself, tapping into the dancer she was before all of the TikTok fame.&nbsp;

<h2>Ariana Madix&nbsp;</h2>

Everyone&rsquo;s favorite Vanderpump Rules star, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/love-island-usa-season-7-couples-where-are-they-now-olandria-carthen-nic-vansteenberghe-chelley-ace-iris-tj-breakups-pr-relationships" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ariana Madix</a>, stepped into the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago in January 2024. During her time at the Ambassador Theatre, she was praised for her stage presence, dancing, and comedic timing, all of which made her seem like she was a seasoned Broadway veteran. Madix did have a background in theatre and performing, making her Broadway debut one of her lifetime dreams. 
Due to audience interest and support from her fans, Madix&rsquo;s time as Roxie Hart was extended, and she said goodbye to the stage in August 2024.&nbsp;

<h2>NeNe Leakes&nbsp;</h2>

NeNe Leakes started her stardom on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, where she was known for her outspoken and genuine personality. She made her Broadway debut in Cinderella as the wicked stepmother, Madame, in 2014. Alongside Keke Palmer and Joe Carrol, Leakes showcased her comedic timing and intense acting abilities. 
Leakes&rsquo; commanding stage presence led her to another performance on Broadway in 2015, where she played Matron &ldquo;Mama&rdquo; Morton in Chicago. After her Broadway debut, Leakes began acting on different television shows while still embodying her unforgettable reality TV personality.&nbsp;

<h2>Nicole Scherzinger&nbsp;</h2>

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/nicole-scherzinger-leopard-print-dress-sunset-blvd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nicole Scherzinger</a> was a member of the girl group the Pussycat Dolls and later became a television personality and actress. Scherzinger was actually the one who suggested putting Harry Styles into a boy band while she was a judge on The X Factor. 
Before her Broadway debut in October 2024, she had performed in the West End in a production of Cats. But Scherzinger&rsquo;s renowned role was Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, where she won a Tony Award for Best Performance By An Actress In A Leading Role In A Musical. Scherzinger&rsquo;s transition from reality star to Broadway star is one of the most notable to date.
