After nearly 11 years together, Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor are still going strong.&nbsp;

Needless to say, Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor's slow-burning love story is a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/these-are-the-highest-paid-actresses-in-the-world" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood</a> favorite. They crossed paths for the first time at a party in 2005, but it wasn't until a decade later that Taylor reached out to Paulson, sparking the beginning of a long-lasting relationship.
Taylor started to hint on <a href="https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/deathsexmoney/episodes/holland-taylor-death-sex-money">WNYC's </a><a href="https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/deathsexmoney/episodes/holland-taylor-death-sex-money">Death, Sex, and Money</a>&nbsp;podcast in November 2015, in which she shared that the experience of being in a relationship with Paulson was "the most extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened" in her life. In December of the same year, they made the relationship official, and since then, the two have spent the last decade gushing about each other on the red carpet&mdash;and looking extremely chic while doing so.&nbsp;

The couple first met at a party in 2005 while both were in different relationships. Reflecting on their first encounter, Paulson told <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/03/fashion/sarah-paulson-opens-up-about-dating-older-women-holland-taylor.html">The New York Times</a> in 2016 that Taylor was "probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman I&rsquo;d ever seen." 
At the time, Paulson was dating actress Cherry Jones, while Taylor was seeing a woman she never publicly named.&nbsp;

After 10 years, fate brought the two actresses together again, and this time they follow each other on social media. Towards the end of the year, Taylor and Paulson reconnected over social media and began messaging one another. Not long after, Taylor posted a picture on Twitter of Paulson with her back to the camera, with the caption: <a href="https://x.com/HollandTaylor/status/666736799344119808">"When captions fail..."</a> which sparked plenty of dating rumors. The sparks were undeniable, and by December, they had hard-launched their relationship.
Shortly after this announcement, Paulson posted a ticket stub for the off-Broadway play Ripcord in which Taylor was acting, and later they made their first appearance as a couple when they saw School of Rock on Broadway.&nbsp;

On January 14, Paulson posted Taylor, wishing her a happy birthday, and three days later, the pair made their red carpet debut at the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards. In March, Paulson opened up about her relationship publicly for the first time and expressed that she didn't feel the need to label her sexuality.&nbsp;
"If my life choices had to be predicted based on what was expected from me from a community on either side, that's going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don't want to feel that," she told <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/03/fashion/sarah-paulson-opens-up-about-dating-older-women-holland-taylor.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The New York Times</a>. "What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor."
Even when they were separated, they always remained vocal in their support for each other. So when the 2016 Emmy Awards rolled around, Taylor was live-tweeting her support for Paulson after the American Horror Story&nbsp;actress shouted out her girlfriend to the camera:&nbsp; &ldquo;Hi Holland&mdash;Holland Taylor, if you&rsquo;re watching, I love you.&rdquo;

Taylor spoke about her relationship with Paulson on Radio Andy's&nbsp;Sandyland&nbsp;broadcast, expressing to Sandra Bernhard: "I must say it has to be part of what has to be the most wonderful thing in my life, is the whole embrace of this wonderful relationship, which makes everything else make sense," she added. "I can't talk about my life today and not mention this wonderful love."
The pair were seen at the TIME100 gala in New York late in the year, laughing together at their table.
For Halloween of that year, they did a couple's costume for M. Night Shyamalan's charity Halloween party in Philadelphia.&nbsp;

Paulson acknowledged the 32-year age difference between her and her lover in an interview with <a href="https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a14426831/sarah-paulson-interview-the-post/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Town &amp; Country</a>:&nbsp;"I do not want to be defined by who I share my bed, my home, my soul with... My choices in life have been unconventional, and that's my business. But I do want to live responsibly and truthfully without hiding. It's complicated because there is a lot of hate in this world, and a lot of good can come from quote-unquote normalizing something for people who don't see it as normal. Our relationship represents a certain amount of hope and risk. Maybe there's something brave in it. Maybe it encourages others to make brave choices. What else can I say? We love each other."
They attended the Oscars, and they were also each other's dates at the Emmys ceremony.&nbsp;
Paulson and Taylor also celebrated a romantic New Year's together, which they shared on Instagram.&nbsp;

In 2020, the pair attended the Oscars in matching black suit-inspired looks.
Later in the year, Taylor received an Emmy nomination for Hollywood, to which Paulson posted congratulations on Instagram.
As the pandemic was heating up, Taylor discussed life with her partner during such a trying time. &ldquo;Both of us normally have to travel for work, have constantly been filming, always leaving a bag halfway packed in the foyer at our house... Of course, Sarah and I didn&rsquo;t need to be brought closer together. We have a very tight, close relationship with each other&rsquo;s thoughts. Paulson also opened up about their relationship in an interview with <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/features/a34050237/sarah-paulson-ratched-interview-2020/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harper's Bazaar</a>. Paulson shared that she and Taylor each have their own house in Los Angeles, and alternate between the two every few days.

For Taylor's birthday in January of 2023, Paulson wrote her just-turned-80-year-old lover a letter in which she says: "I can list all the ways in which you matter, ways you've contributed to the lives of those around you, as well as the world at large (ANN for one) but I can speak to some piece of this acutely&hellip; You matter to me. YOU. MATTER. TO. ME. You've changed me. In all the important ways. Sharing my life with you has made everything else make sense. Happiest Birthday to you, Holland V. Taylor. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for loving me. I will never be the same."
They made a suited-up appearance in Paris Fashion Week and, once again, at the Oscars. Paulson gushes over Taylor on Chelsea Handler's Dear Chelsea&nbsp;podcast, sharing that Taylor is "constantly reminding me of how capable I am". She takes another opportunity to speak about her lover on The View:&nbsp;&ldquo;I feel very lucky to be with a person who is smarter, wiser, wittier than I, and that just makes my life better in every possible way... She also makes me feel seen, which I think is the most important gift you can give to any person.&rdquo;
In August, Taylor joined Paulson on the opening night of the Broadway play Appropriate, which Paulson starred in. They were later photographed together at the after-party.

They appeared together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
