From the digital wilderness to centuries of art history, see five fresh things to explore at Regent's Park this year.

This week, Regent’s Park, one of London’s best spots to soak up the last rays of sunshine, hosts the 24th annual Frieze London art fair. The fair brings together emerging artists, new galleries, and underrepresented global histories. Though it principally celebrates contemporary art, its 172 galleries span a much wider timeline, with works that predate written history. From sculptures scattered across the park’s southeast end to an unexpectedly intimate bathroom experience, here are five highlights worth catching this year.

Ella Fleck’s curiosity for the internet, language, and the human psyche have won her this year’s Camden Art Centre Emerging Artist Award. Fleck's work is featured in the Focus section, and for the winning installation training material (aria), her process began undercover. Over six weeks, Fleck assumed the role of “Elliot” in OnlyFans-adjacent chatrooms, not as a subscriber, but as a hired and trained direct-message operator working on behalf of a male content creator.&nbsp;Her journey into the depths of male fantasies, not in vain, pronounces the dark side of contemporary sexuality. examines the darker side of modern sexuality. A computer sits at the center of a pink enclosure, echoing scripts of chatter generated from the online community of Fleck’s own experiment. Its cords sprawled across the floor, the display reinforces a recurring sense of exposure throughout her installations.

Across the park from Frieze is its sister fair, Frieze Masters. Exclusive to the London event, the collections under the Masters marquee display thousands of years of international art. Although technically housed under a tent, the gallery spaces make a convincing museum. Frieze Masters is not just ambitious about celebrating global art, but also expanding the historical narrative, admitting to its hierarchy. And for attendees lost in its maze, one of its four main sections, Spotlight, provides a more attentive look at solo presentations of 20th-century art. This year’s most extensive edition yet offers attendees the chance to engage with Pachita Abad’s explorations of multiculturalism, the new surrealism of Anna Esposito, and to eventually become entranced by Maria Martorell’s linework.

This year, all eyes are on Athens-based artist Theo Triantafyllidis. Since 2023, Triantafyllidis has been developing a surreal game, Feral Metaverse. Conceived in opposition to Zuckerberg’s Metaverse, his game replaces the algorithmic with unpredictable chaos, challenging the idea of comfort in virtual space. This year, he won the Frieze London Artist Award, which helped him produce his ambitious sculpture Spider; he himself admits that it’s a bit of a <a href="https://www.frieze.com/article/frieze-week-london-magazine-2026-theo-triantafyllidis">"social experiment</a>.” It allows attendees to climb its human-like legs and play the game on screens installed within the structure. The humbling sight of perching atop a humanoid spider, toes dangling off the floor, levitating and occupied, unsettles the divide between the material and digital world.&nbsp;

A Breath of Fresh Air at the Gardens

A highly anticipated feature of Frieze London since 2012, Frieze Sculpture scatters eleven works&nbsp;throughout the park's English Gardens, inviting fairgoers and the public alike to encounter art unconfined. Among them is Tarini Sethi’s The Sun Bathes Its Friends and Neighbours (2026), presented by Rajiv Menon Contemporary, a mythology told in steel. Nearby, Elena Nemkova offers her interpretation of Agony in the Garden. Part sculpture, part shelter, two forged metal paws join in prayer, invoking the biblical scene of Jesus Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. Across works in stone, steel, and crystal, these international artists invite a conversation with nature and a long, hard look at its adversaries.

Perhaps one of the most intimate encounters with art at Frieze London takes place in the park’s own restrooms. Entrusted to multidisciplinary artist Gray Wielebinski, the toilets become installations in themselves through Production. Created in collaboration with Alina Maron, the exhibit provides a momentary yet highly obtrusive confrontation with the sensory potentials of the restroom, making the subject uncomfortably aware of the vulnerability it requires.
