Steven Learner knows everything there possibly is to know in the world of art and design (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration — but barely). Learner is perhaps best known as the architect behind the Collective Design fair, a show that focuses on modern furnishing and objects, featuring masterpieces of the 20th and 21st century, as well as the emerging talents of tomorrow.

Working across platforms and continents, Learner garners an international audience at his May shows. This year, however, expect to see his show two months early in March. Until then, here is Learner’s personal wishlist of holiday goodies.

Cobalt Blue Dominoes

"A confession: I belong to a dominoes group. We meet every month, play ‘bones’ and eat Chinese food. These cobalt blue dominoes from Coming Soon New York are going out to everyone in the gang."

"If you want your gift to do double duty, give this shampoo and conditioner set from Wild at Heart to your own dog or your favorite dog lover. Not only will the pups get a shiny coat for the holidays, you will be supporting an amazing animal rescue organization, founded by Nikki Tibbles, the self-described ‘luxury florist’ from London."

"You Are Not the Boss of V" T-Shirt

"Be bold and buy someone you love a "You Are Not the Boss of V" t-shirt."

"Carl Auböck is alive and well. This means Carl IV and his son Carl V, the current keepers of the true heritage brand that is their design workshop in Vienna. These cane and brass bookends from The Future Perfect are exemplary of the 4,500 functional, sculptural, exquisite objects designed by Auböck Werkstätte over generations."

Band & Olufsen Headphones

"When I was a kid I dreamed of owning anything Bang & Olufsen. The design of their turntables was so clean; their wall hung multi-disc CD player defied gravity.; the speakers had a 2001 space odyssey vibe. I sat in their showrooms in total awe. Now it seems that B&O has a line for mere mortals and I want these headphones more than anything…"
