<p class="p1">The wait is over&mdash;see all of the artists who are in the running for the prestigious award.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">From 19 countries across the world, the Loewe Foundation has officially selected its 2026 Craft Prize finalists. The prize, now in its ninth edition, honors and uplifts the technical talent, creative spirit, and visionary innovation of artists around the world. After reviewing over 5,100 submissions from creators in nearly every corner of the globe, the foundation's committee has at last narrowed down the shortlist, and the days until the Craft Prize unveiling are already ticking away. On May 12, the winner will be announced, followed by a month-long exhibition period from May 13 to June 14 at the National Gallery Singapore.&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As per usual, the mediums, textiles, and objects selected by each artist span as widely as their countries of origin do. Ceramics, woodwork, textiles, furniture, bookbinding, glass, metal, jewelry, and lacquer represent just a few of the media in which the 30 finalists have presented their pieces.&nbsp;</p>
<p class="p1">&ldquo;The Craft Prize continues to reveal the extraordinary diversity and ambition of contemporary craft,&rdquo; said Sheila Loewe, President of the Loewe Foundation. &ldquo;The works shortlisted for the 2026 edition demonstrate how deeply rooted traditions can be reimagined through innovation, skill, and imagination. Bringing this exhibition to Singapore reflects the global dialogue at the heart of the Prize and our ongoing commitment to supporting artists at pivotal moments in their careers,&rdquo; she added.</p>
<p class="p1">Beyond just honoring a whole new class of global talent, the Loewe Foundation is also championing a new initiative, beginning in 2026. Partnering with luxury travel brand Belmond, the two labels have introduced three two-month residencies at La Residencia in Mallorca to support alumni of the Craft Prize. Dei&agrave;, where the Belmond-owned hotel is located, is an iconic artistic center of vibrant life, offering creatives the opportunity to further foster innovation and community. Drawing on Loewe's own Spanish heritage and the local culture, the residencies encourage artists to think and create in conversation with the country's vast societal landscape.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p class="p1">2026 also marks another first for the Loewe Foundation&mdash;co-creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez's debut on the prize's jury. Alongside leaders from across the design, architecture, editorial, critical, and curatorial spheres, they will select the winner&mdash;as well as two special mentions&mdash;of the 2026 Craft Prize.</p>
