Why we love it: As a beauty writer who tests countless products almost daily, not a lot of formulas (including some of my favorites) leave a jaw-dropping impression. But I must say, the Gucci Glow Highlighter had me thinking about it for days. Its &ldquo;Gel-Powder&rdquo; name couldn&rsquo;t be more accurate: for a powder, it has a uniquely buttery texture that almost feels creamy. Sure, many powders&mdash;blushes, highlighters, and eyeshadows&mdash;have mastered the art of buttery pigment and strong color payoff. But this one is the first of its kind. How can something dry also feel wet at the same time? This formula proves it&rsquo;s possible. Applying it is an indulgent, sensorial experience in itself. No chalkiness, no fallout, just pure glow in a single swipe.&nbsp;
More importantly, powder highlighters are usually a dry-skin nightmare. I&rsquo;ve seen the wonders they can do for those with normal, combination, and oily skin. But for dry skin? It&rsquo;s less goddess glow, more texture highlighter&mdash;like an invitation to say hello to every stubborn dry patch. That&rsquo;s why I&rsquo;ve long stuck to liquids and creams. Yet, I never faced those pitfalls with this Gucci highlighter. It delivers the controlled shimmer I&rsquo;ve been searching for, the glitzy zhuzh I never find in liquid or cream formulas, which often lean more natural and dewy. The fact that the intensity is customizable is just the cherry on top.&nbsp;

Why we love it: A glam-ready look has never been easier ever since I met the Armani Eye Tint. While I&rsquo;ve always been partial to palettes (chalk it up to growing up in the era of the cut crease), these single shadows have become my go-to when I have to achieve the impossible and put together a full beat in five minutes. For one, its cream-liquid hybrid texture immediately puts it ahead of all liquid formulas that tend to spill and transfer. With the Armani Eye Tint, I never have to be overly conscious about placement.&nbsp;
But more importantly, a quick swipe and finger dab is all I need to fake a complete eyeshadow look. I can even get away with skipping blending altogether (criminal, I know). That&rsquo;s partly thanks to its cream-liquid format, but also because its pigment payoff hits the sweet spot: not so intense that it&rsquo;s hard to clean up, yet not sheer, bordering on non-existent. One wash of color goes a long way, and when I want more impact, the metallics and shimmers certainly add a lot of glitz.&nbsp;

And by maximalist, it&rsquo;s not just about the vivid shades themselves; it&rsquo;s the high-impact color, ultra-rich pigment, and buttery texture. This is certainly not the palette for diffused, barely-there washes. And in a market overwhelmingly saturated with natural options, that&rsquo;s precisely the point. There&rsquo;s no space for muted here, and Hung Vanngo speaks that language fluently.
Each palette is thoughtfully curated, ranging from light to deep tones, and featuring a balance of matte, satin, and metallic finishes. Why we love it: Perhaps the most controversial beauty launch of the year, a best-seller nonetheless. Not to play devil&rsquo;s advocate, but as unconventional as Rhode&rsquo;s Peptide Lip Shape is, it has completely changed the way I approach lip combos. There&rsquo;s definitely a learning curve when it comes to this formula (it&rsquo;s very creamy, after all). I&rsquo;m sure you&rsquo;ve seen arguments both for and against the fact that it&rsquo;s not a lip liner per se, but rather a lip contour. But give it a shot. Instead of relying on it for precise lines and staying power, I use it to subtly shape and create the illusion of fuller lips, adding soft shadows around the mouth before applying a lip liner (if I use one at all). Think of it as regular facial contouring, but for your lips. And don&rsquo;t be fooled by how creamy it is: the color payoff is totally rich.&nbsp;
Once I realized it works best on the outer edges of the lips, it stayed on much, much longer than when treated like a standard liner. It simply creates a clearer canvas for the rest of my routine. Those soft shadows? I credit them for making me more intentional about liner and lipstick placement without being overly anxious about messing up. It might sound counterintuitive, but taking an extra step before using a liner has cut my lip combo time in half. As it turns out, the smudging I once dreaded has its perks.&nbsp;
Particularly, the shade <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/P517509?skuId=2896058" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lift</a>, a soft, cool-toned baby pink, is my go-to first step for every lip look. It&rsquo;s like your lips, but better: close to a natural lip color, and adaptable to your own tone. And it undoubtedly makes for a good start to a bubblegum pink moment.

Why we love it: When it comes to shade variety, Makeup by Mario never misses&mdash;and its lip liners are no exception. Why we love it: High-impact lipsticks that are moisturizing and comfortable are true gems in the beauty world, and it comes as no surprise that one of them comes from Charlotte Tilbury. For a formula so richly pigmented and creamy, the&nbsp;K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick never feels too thick or heavy (read: it's not a total hair magnet as the icy winds blow). Even when I don&rsquo;t exfoliate beforehand, it doesn&rsquo;t cling to dry patches or flakiness, nor does it settle into the natural fine lines of my lips. It simply smooths my lips and leaves them looking evenly toned and conditioned for hours on end.
Once it does fade? They still feel hydrated without the need for gloss, oil, or balm throughout the day&mdash;unless, of course, it&rsquo;s especially cold and dry, in which case reapplications are inevitable. In other words, it offers the intense color you&rsquo;d expect from a high-impact lipstick, paired with the nourishing, cocooning comfort and subtle shine of a tinted lip balm.
