In the past, award shows like the Oscars and Academy Awards served their purpose of delivering outstanding media their deserving praises. But since the introduction of red carpet culture and digital photography on the internet, they&rsquo;ve also become the inspiration for aspiring fashionistas and beauty junkies.

This year&rsquo;s Emmys were no different.

While commercial beauty has gotten extremely experimental with its makeup, with brands like Pat Mcgrath Labs celebrating blinding highlighters and colors, this year&rsquo;s celebrities opted for more classic looks. While many stuck to the quintessential smokey eye or red lip, the skin was much more satin-like than usual.

If you&rsquo;re interested in recreating the flawless skin look, it&rsquo;s really simple! Using a<a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/beautyblender-P228913?icid2=products%20grid:p228913:product" target="_blank"> beauty blender</a> or <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/pro-stippling-brush-44-P313013?icid2=products%20grid:p313013:product" target="_blank">stippling brush</a>, mix a drop of any <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/luna-sleeping-night-oil-P393718?icid2=products%20grid:p393718:product" target="_blank">oil treatment</a> into any <a href="https://www.narscosmetics.com/USA/sheer-glow-foundation/999NACSGLWF01.html?dwvar_999NACSGLWF01_color=7845060475&amp;cgid=foundation" target="_blank">medium coverage foundation</a>, and do a light coat. Set it with a <a href="https://www.dermablend.com/loose-setting-powder.html" target="_blank">mattifying loose power</a>, and follow with a blush and bronzer <a href="https://www.dior.com/beauty/en_us/fragrance-beauty/makeup/face/blush-bronzer/pr-blush-y0020000-healthy-glow-bronzing-powder.html" target="_blank">two-in-one </a>to get that seamless glow. While it can be intimidating&nbsp;that first, as a previous makeup artist, I promise you that gels and creams are easy to work. No matter if you&#39;re a beginner or pro!
