The certified organic skincare brand just launched a new alternative to niacinamide, and it&rsquo;s even better than the cult-favorite ingredient itself.

Miranda Kerr knows there&rsquo;s no shortage of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/forgotten-celebrity-fashion-beauty-brands">celebrity beauty brands</a>, but she continues to carve her own lane with Kora Organics. As CEO, she knows product benefits and consumer study results like the back of her hand, lighting up as she describes textures, scents, and how each formula fits into her and her family&rsquo;s routines. For Kerr, the brand isn&rsquo;t a vanity project or a quick cash grab; it&rsquo;s a mission in which she&rsquo;s deeply invested. As she told L&rsquo;OFFICIEL, she&rsquo;s involved in every step, from ideation and formulation to testing and packing.&nbsp;
Since launching Kora Organics in 2009, Kerr has remained true to her original vision: a skincare brand that&rsquo;s rooted in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/wellness/what-is-the-winter-arc-trend-tiktok-winter-arc-challenge">wellness</a>, uses only <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/natural-cosmetics-organic-vegan-skincare-makeup-products">organic ingredients</a>, and never compromises on health. That dedication stems not only from her longtime passion for natural wellness but also from a personal turning point. After her mother was diagnosed with a spleen tumor during Kerr&rsquo;s teenage years, she became committed to understanding the impact of what we put on our skin and in our bodies&mdash;especially avoiding products with carcinogens. Now, fifteen years into running her own beauty brand, that philosophy still anchors Kerr as Kora Organics continues to expand.
Just two weeks ago, the brand introduced the newest member of its turmeric collection: Turmeric Glow Drops, a plant-based alternative to niacinamide. To mark the launch, L&rsquo;OFFICIEL spoke with Kerr to discuss turmeric&rsquo;s benefits, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/what-does-clean-beauty-actually-mean-natural-makeup-skincare">clean beauty</a>, and what&rsquo;s next for Kora Organics.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Turmeric Glow Drops: The Niacinamide Alternative</h2>

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/niacinamide-skincare-ingredient-acne-anti-aging-best-products">Niacinamide</a> isn&rsquo;t exactly a new hero ingredient for skincare. Still, over the past few years, it&rsquo;s certainly exploded in popularity as brands like The Ordinary spotlighted its benefits for reducing inflammation, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/effective-minimize-pores-clear-flawless-skin-acne-products-serums">minimizing pores</a>, and clearing <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/best-makeup-removers-for-acne-prone-skin">acne scars</a>&mdash;skin concerns nearly everyone wants to address. It didn&rsquo;t take long for almost every major beauty brand to roll out its own version, ranging from gentle low-concentration formulas to high-potency serums.&nbsp;
Kora&rsquo;s newest launch joins the ever-growing family of niacinamide treatments. But unlike most, it doesn&rsquo;t rely on lab-synthesized niacinamide. Staying true to the brand&rsquo;s certified-organic ethos, the Turmeric Glow Drops serum is powered by botanicals&mdash;turmeric, crowberry, birch bark, and hyaluronic acid&mdash;designed to deliver the same skin-strengthening benefits in a clean plant-based formula. The lightweight, fast-absorbing serum can be used day or night. Kerr herself even noted that despite her naturally oily skin, it sits well under makeup without feeling greasy or heavy. Plus, with consistent use, it promotes a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/best-lightweight-gel-moisturizers">natural glow from within</a>.&nbsp;
After reviewing consumer study results for the Turmeric Glow Drops, Kerr shared that 82 percent of participants found the product more effective than synthetic niacinamide. The formula, much like the rest of Kora&rsquo;s lineup, also holds a COSMOS certification, ensuring it meets EcoCert&rsquo;s strict standards for organic and natural ingredients.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I was so excited to create this because so many of the [similar products] out there are filled with harsh chemicals,&rdquo; Kerr tells L&rsquo;OFFICIEL. "The Turmeric Glow Drops not only offer an alternative to that, but better results. I was blown away. It&rsquo;s very rewarding to know that I can help people with their skin and get these incredible results without harming their skin or using unnecessary chemicals.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Despite its many benefits, Kerr is quick to acknowledge that turmeric can be tricky for sensitive, acne-prone, or eczema-prone skin. That&rsquo;s why, through all the noise about niacinamide&rsquo;s effectiveness, she spent more than four years developing Kora&rsquo;s Turmeric Glow Drops, perfecting both the concentration and packaging.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We go through so much rigorous testing to make sure it&rsquo;s both safe and effective for all skin types, even sensitive skin,&rdquo; Kerr says. &ldquo;For turmeric, it wasn&rsquo;t just about adding that ingredient in&mdash;it was about finding the right concentration, the right way to deliver it, and then pairing it with other supportive botanicals to really optimize those results.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Championing Clean Beauty</h2>

Although <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/august-2025-beauty-launches-loewe-fendi-nars-tower-28">new products launch every day</a> in the beauty world, Kerr isn&rsquo;t trying to keep up with competitors that constantly roll out fresh offerings. In fact, the nearly five-year development of the Turmeric Glow Drops is typical for Kora; almost every product the brand has ever released undergoes a similarly meticulous process.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I go back and forth, wanting to perfect it and sometimes add other ingredients. It&rsquo;s a long process. I do all these studies to really confirm the efficacy because I don&rsquo;t want to put something out there unless I personally use it and I&rsquo;ve seen the results firsthand on other people,&rdquo; Kerr says. &nbsp;
While many brands now fall under the clean beauty umbrella&mdash;and some longtime industry players have <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/kylie-jenner-relaunches-cosmetics-brand-clean-beauty-vegan-formulas">transitioned to cleaner formulas</a>&mdash;Kerr says that Kora stands out as one of the very few, if not the only, with a full lineup that&rsquo;s certified organic. It&rsquo;s a distinction she takes pride in.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We often get put into the &lsquo;clean beauty&rsquo; category because there is no certified organic category,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s a gap in the market for certified organic products that perform at the same level or even a higher level than conventional beauty products.&rdquo;&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Kora's Future</h2>

Though her brand has been around for nearly two decades, Kerr isn&rsquo;t rushing to expand Kora Organics. She prefers to take the time to thoughtfully develop each product before launching; the next addition to the lineup, she says, will arrive within the next five years.&nbsp;
As for branching into <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/pat-mcgrath-makeup-artist-facts">makeup</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/hair-loss-prevention-treatments-products-august-awareness-month">haircare</a>, it&rsquo;s not off the table&mdash;but there are no immediate plans. 
&ldquo;I want to make sure I&rsquo;m very thoughtful about it,&rdquo; says Kerr. &ldquo;I feel it&rsquo;s important to make sure that the brand itself is known for skincare; I don&rsquo;t want to dilute it by going into makeup or hair. I want to continue to innovate in the skincare space, because there&rsquo;s still so much we can do with certified organic ingredients.&rdquo;
She continues, &ldquo;We&rsquo;re still a small brand, so I really hope that Kora can become a household name in beauty and wellness&mdash;a brand that people around the world can just trust because they know our products give them the results they need without compromising their health or sustainability. So if we were to expand, it would have to be at the right time.&rdquo;
Slow product rollout doesn&rsquo;t mean Kora is slowing down&mdash;and neither is Kerr.
&ldquo;To this day, I still have the same excitement level, if not more, than what I had 20 years ago when I thought of launching the brand,&rdquo; she says.&nbsp;&nbsp;
