These Celebrities Are Bringing Back Skinny Brows

As we welcome back this (beloved?) Y2K trend, here's a roundup of celebs we've noticed sporting skinny brows.

Skinny brows are officially back, and while some may not be too pleased with the renaissance of this Y2K trend, many celebrities are embracing the look and proudly showcasing it via social media and public appearances. On March 25, celebrity makeup artist Priscilla Ono took to Instagram to show off the look she gave Rihanna that graced Vogue China's April 2024 issue. The caption read, "Thin brows, stained lips and velvety brushed cheeks♥️ @badgalriri for vogue china april issue."

While thin brows have been frowned upon for much of the 2010s and maybe even the early 2020s, there's clearly been a shift in opinion, as there was a downpour of approval in the comment section. "Ms riri looks so good in the second picccccc" one comment read with the praise hands emogi alongside it. Another commenter wrote, "yeah you killed this one sis" and ended the sentence with a clapping hands emoji.

But Rihanna isn't the only one rocking thin brows. In fact, many celebrities are incorporating the trend into their beauty looks as well. It girls like Nicola Peltz-Beckham and Olivia Rodrigo, two women who probably weren't old enough to witness the thin eyebrow craze during the aughts, have been seen out and about channeling the look. Bella Hadid, a celebrity who admitedly pulls off most 2000s trends, sports thin eyebrows as well. Aside from celebrities, runway beauty trends are embracing skinny brows too.

The resurgance of Y2K trends isn't anything new, as 2000s fashion has been glamourized and replicated for the last five to six years. Brands like Deisel and Juicy Couture, a hallmark of 2000s women's style, have regained popularity, and everyone covets the looks celebrities like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears donned back in the day. For older Gen Z women, the need to replicate the 2000s could be as simple as wanting to recreate the makeup looks previously worn by our older sisters or babysitters.

Perhaps the next generation of beauty fanatics will look to the celebrities below for beauty inspiration and sport the trend themselves.

Here's L'OFFICIEL's roundup of the celebs we think have been rocking skinny brows.
