Burberry Fall 2019
"England has always been a country of great contrasts. Its society ranges from strict social structures to rebellious moods - it seems unlikely that such things could coexist, but in England it is possible. It is this idea that has inspired the concept that leads to Burberry's Fall 2019 collection. My first season at the Burberry Fashion House was like the first steps in trying to build my own alphabet; the effort put in to identify my characters and codes. Now that the first stage is in the past, I can start to form values from these characters and create a new chapter in Burberry's long history. ”
Riccardo Tisci, Head of Fashion at Burberry
Collection
In London, the latest Burberry fashion home collection is featured. The luxurious space delivers two very different rooms through the doors of the Tate Modern Tanks Gallery. The ideas represented throughout the show were reflective of the new fashion house dualism formed by designer Riccardo Tisci—the insight that England is both cautious and rebellious, that conservative and free worlds can live together in one space. At the time of delivery, you could also recognize different members of the Burberry family: the young girl and the boy, the refined ice and the elegant gentleman.
In the part of the girl's collection, you could see sheepskin and fur coat, shoulder padding corset-type blouses, double-waist pants, romantic lace dresses on shoulder straps, combined with rough boots. The guys, in turn, wore fluffy jackets, antique-style boxing clothes, leather trousers, sneakers with neoprene socks.

Ledi wore deconstructed raincoats, cashmere ponchos, folded skirts, classic high heels that were embellished with studded crystal elements. Gentleman made an astounding entrance in striped wool coats, English haircuts, sweaters, silk and jersey shirts, all which were paired with elegant boots.
In addition to the Thomas Burberry monograms and window patterns that have been seen at his shows in the past, this time, a number of marine motifs were featured in the collection: oysters, quays, seamen's ropes.
Delivery
The brand's presentation of its Fall collection took place in two different premises of the Tate Modern Gallery, which were designed to highlight the contrasts of the collection itself. One room reflected classic England, known from the stories of famous novels, films, and monarchy—the interior had a very strict structure, and guests were offered to sit on the benches of a natural tree, and the podium was subtly lit. The second space highlighted youthful, freedom-seeking England—in a dark brutal-style interior, over 100 young actors imitated the party.
Music
The presentation's musical playlist musical was chosen by the artist MIA. Tracks were chosen from a vast array of works of different genres and periods that occasioned showrooms way back when, reaching all the way to the tenth century, ranging from today's classics to decades of electronics. "The MIA-chosen playlist is an example of a pure creative impulse for me—it is really a penny. Although we both come from very different cultures and places in the world, we are proud of our home being London, which allows us to satisfy our creative hunger and express ourselves without any limitations, ”said designer Tisci.

Models
The presentation of the collection was decorated with a number of well-known faces of the fashion industry: models like Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Natalia Vodianova, Fran Summers, Anok Yai, Sora Choi, Rianne van Rompaey, Mariacarla Boscono, Stella Tennant, Freja Beha Erichsen, Claudia Lavender, Matteo Ferri, Tashi Jay Kwayie. New British faces such as Kacie Hall, Anna Ross, Lulu Reynolds, Bassam, Azim, and Afure Moses-Taiga also made their debut.
The model makeup was conceptualized by the omnipotent Pat McGrath and the hairstyles by Guido Palau.
