The maison unveiled its latest collection—which marked a thrilling first for the label—during Paris Haute Couture Week.&nbsp;

After almost a century of visionary design, Roger Vivier has decided to spread its stunning wings and fly straight into artistic liberties surrounding the butterfly. With the help of mariposa magic, creative director Gherardo Felloni took Monsieur Vivier's love for the winged figure and transformed it into a 31-piece collection at Maison Vivier in Paris.
From creations for Christian Dior in 1955 and 1963 to custom Papillon shoes featured at the 1987 Vivier-led retrospective at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the butterfly has become a meaningful symbol for the brand. Now, for L'Atelier des Papillons, the majestic creature is finally getting its moment in the spotlight in a space built on modern creation and enduring legacy.&nbsp;

By allowing the archive to fly free, Felloni envisions butterflies through organza, crystal work, sculptural metal, complex bead embroideries, hand-detailed feathers, and marcamé. In the vein of no two butterflies looking identical, each Vivier technique breathes an air of uniqueness into each masterpiece of artisanship.
As a house renowned for its extraordinary shoes, it comes as no surprise to longtime admirers that Roger Vivier has brought footwear to the special Pièce Unique collection at last. In the past, the collection has primarily served to highlight the maison's fine handbags and adorned gilets. One-of-a-kind Choc high-heels and sneakers made their debut in the collection, which are inspired by the timeless 1959 curved pump that has become key to the brand's savoir-faire. In fact, Felloni used the heel's design to create the Pièce Unique sneaker back in 2018 and reinterpreted it for the Fall/Winter 2026 Ready-To-Wear collection.
Unlike ready-to-wear collections, the Pièce Unique objects are imagined as individual creations, so each one exists as a manifestation of truly inimitable craftsmanship and imagination. The brand's heritage continues to serve as a point of transformation under Felloni, showcasing that the label can still make craft, fantasy, and metamorphosis work in unison.
