On Saturday, February 3, intersectional activists and members of New York City's fashion community gathered in Brooklyn to celebrate the release of the recently published Together We Rise book: a collection of interviews with organizers of the Women's March movement, essays by feminist activists, and never-before-seen photos from actual marches around the country. And with Fashion Week a mere three days away, the event aptly doubled as the unveiling of a new online shop boasting items from several NYFW designers, with proceeds set to benefit both Planned Parenthood and Women's March: Together We Rise.
It's an idea that's nothing short of genius — an accessible course of action that feels authentic and devoid of any gimmicky/commercial "wokeness." Here, you will find items from the main collections of some of our favorite designers like Brandon Maxwell, Mara Hoffman, Brother Vellies, Gabriela Hearst, Pyer Moss, Gypsy Sport, and Chromat (among others), in addition to several pieces created specifically for the site. There's no better way to combine a love of shopping with a love of supporting women if you ask us.
