As the New York Knicks prepare to compete in Game Two of the NBA Finals, the pressure to win the tournament is at an all-time high. Not only is it the basketball team's first time back at the finals since 1999, but the overall chances of walking away with the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy are drastically increasing, especially with the lead in the competition thus far.
Yet, when it comes to the thrill of an intense game of hoop, courtside fashion has easily become a slam dunk amongst celebrities in the past 20 years. From hardcore fans like Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan to newcomers like Angel Reese and Kylie Jenner, every Knicks game has become the epicenter of sports and fashion.
To prepare for their matchup with the San Antonio Spurs later this evening at Frost Bank Center, L'OFFICIEL has curated a list of the ten best Knicks courtside looks in recent memory. For now, flaunt your orange and blue garments, gather with your sport junky friends, and root "GO NEW YORK GO!"

On Wednesday, November 6, 2002, 19,763 fans gathered at Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks go against the Sacramento Kings. One of many fans on courtside that evening was no other than singer-songwriter and dancer Usher. Two days ahead of the DVD release of "Truth Tour Behind the Truth: Live from Atlanta," he sported pierced earrings, a white T-shirt, a cross necklace, a black, gray, and red flannel shirt, and distressed denim. Usher watched alongside actress Stephanie March as the Knicks ultimately won the matchup.

When it became known that the Knicks would play in the 2004 NBA Eastern Conference First Round, many fans became eager about the competing team. For Game Four, the New York team got paired with the New Jersey Nets at MSG. Fresh off five Grammy wins and an iconic performance with Prince, Beyonc&eacute; was on courtside with then-boyfriend Jay-Z and Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams. The singer-songwriter wore a black blazer and washed blue jeans that covered her shoes and witnessed the Knicks' loss to the Nets.

A few months later, the Knicks would return to MSG to compete against the Atlanta Hawks in late November. Model, actress, and "sliving" icon Paris Hilton donned a periwinkle embellished long sleeve, a white handbag, a denim mini skirt, and lace-up heeled boots. As she walked past actor Ethan Hawke on courtside, Hilton only had one thing to say to attendees and players alike: That's Hot!

The following year, the Knicks were ready to lay up with rival Houston Rockets on the court. Known at the time for his creative visuals and discography, rapper and actor Ludacris was chatting it up on courtside with supermodel Karolina Kurkova. Despite the fact that his black and white puffer somehow disappeared, his baggy black T-shirt with red and white detailing, even baggier black pants, and matching red, white, and black Nikes made a concrete statement: Courtside fashion can be anything.

Five years after his retirement from basketball, sports icon Michael Jordan was co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, known now as the Charlotte Hornets. So, when the Bobcats were put against the Knicks in a November 2008 game at MSG, Jordan was present on courtside in dapper style. A gray blazer, cream T-shirt, brown leather belt, light-washed denim, and a pair of chocolate boots paired well with bracelets and a silver watch. Even though the former co-owner's team lost, his fashion choices scored big amongst the crowd and beyond.

As the well-loved series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" continued to become more popular, reality TV star Kim Kardashian decided to watch the Knicks go against the Detroit Pistons in April 2009. Alongside former best friend and model Brittany Gastineau, Kardashian wore a black cut-out cardigan, a white and gray top, a thin black belt, black leggings, a metallic silver purse, and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. To top off the look, she removed a bag of cotton candy from a Knicks-themed hat and put it on her head. Needless to say, Kardashian rose above the rim.

Ahead of his 3-D concert film "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," Justin Bieber was at the height of teenage-fandom popularity. However, when the Canadian singer attended the Knicks' match with the Dallas Mavericks the week prior to his film release, all eyes were on him while sitting courtside. From an all-black ensemble to a rich purple bowtie and sunglasses, Bieber was just like any other basketball fan enjoying the game (and a classic hot dog).

When the Knicks reached Game Six of the Eastern Conference semifinals, they and their fans began to spill over with excitement. Despite the fact that the team was going against the Boston Celtics and was poised to win, the star power was too much to handle on May 16, 2025. Ice Spice, Fat Joe, Lenny Kravitz, and Russell Wilson were some stars noted to be present. However, when the Jumbotron highlighted Puerto Rican global sensation Bad Bunny, the Garden went wild. Sporting a Knicks' cap, black Ray-Ban sunglasses, a baby blue button-up, ripped blue jeans, and some polished merlot shoes, Bad Bunny was easily the talk of the night, alongside the Knicks' win.

Funnily enough, guess who was sitting next to Bad Bunny during the Knicks vs. Celtics game? If you guessed French-American actor and hardcore Knicks fan Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet, you would be correct. For the past two years, he has found ways to attend Knicks playoff games amidst his busy schedule. Yet, when the Knicks were matched with the Indiana Pacers on May 29, 2025, Chalamet knew he had to bring his team spirit to the max on courtside. Rocking a custom blue, orange, white, and black set from Chrome Hearts, he wore his passion for the team on his sleeve. From partner Kylie Jenner sitting next to him to getting hyped up throughout the game, the Knicks and Chalamet both won in their respective courts.

To wrap up the list is none other than lifelong Knicks fan and director Spike Lee. Ever since 1985, the Academy-Award winning filmmaker has been rooting for the team on courtside and continues to do so now. In Game Four of the Eastern Conference First Round, the Knicks went against the Atlanta Hawks on April 25, 2026. As the sporting franchise's most well-known fan, Lee sat courtside wearing a colorful bucket hat, white frames, a silver ring and cross necklace, an orange bomber jacket with blue text stating "Orange and Blue Skies," black Nike pants, and orange and blue shoes. For those asking who truly is a hardcore, yet passionate Knicks fan, Lee is the only right choice.
