Bottega Veneta Is Skipping Milan Fashion Week This Year

The brand's new creative director will only be making his runway debut in 2019.

After changes in NYFW's line-up and Gucci's decision to exchange Milan for Paris to debut its own Spring 2019 collection, Bottega Veneta has followed suit in announcing that it will not participate in the next international season come September.

This is one of a series of shifts for the brand that, in June, announced the departure of its creative director of 17 years, Thomas Mayer, and named Céline's Daniel Lee in his place. The new director will thus not be making his Milanese debut in September, but rather in February 2019.

Bottega Veneta's Spring 2019 collection will exclusively be presented to buyers in the brand's Milan showroom.
