Ginori 1735 presents Fortunae, The Art of Wishing Well: a new giftware and home décor collection of contemporary talismans that bring a touch of magic to everyday rituals.

A goose on the lid of a vase, a dragonfly on a box, representations of four-leaf clovers or red chile horns: These details capture the essence of Fortunae, the new giftware and home décor collection from Ginori 1735. Porcelain that respects the material's seriousness, but uses it to smile and wish good luck. The subtitle, "The Art of Wishing Well," sums up the intention. Luck isn't just something to believe in, but something to wish for, something to share in order to attract it.
The inspiration that contextualizes the collection is the Game of the Goose, born during the Renaissance and associated with the Medici court and its subsequent spread throughout Europe. A spiraling path of sixty-three squares where chance decides and where the goose doubles the pace, a game in which there is no skill to show off. You advance, stay still for a turn, and then return to the starting position. And in the context of Florentine craftsmanship, the reference is no coincidence. In the 16th century, Florence was among the first European cities to attempt to imitate porcelain, so the game and the material have a shared history in this city.

From that game, Ginori 1735 draws a small vocabulary of symbols: the goose and the dragonfly, the four-leaf clover, the horseshoe, the die, the key, the ladybug. They are symbols of lightness and possibility, which the maison rewrites with a controlled and subtly ironic graphic style. More than references to the game, they are its talismans reduced to symbols, such as the die promising chance or the key symbolizing access. The decoration follows the same logic. There is no repeating pattern or rigid composition: each illustration arises in relation to the object it inhabits, seeking a balance between form and decoration. The backgrounds are light, the details polychrome, the accents gold. The palette alternates lucky red and wish blue with mocha brown and shades of celadon; even the names of the colors are part of the greeting.

Each creation combines decorative and functional dimensions. Within this collection, trays, teapots, mugs, decorative boxes, espresso sets, porcelain miniatures, and small decorative pieces are conceived as contemporary talismans. The collection is deliberately open and versatile. The pieces can be combined and gifted together, creating personal ensembles that express different desires, occasions, and sensibilities. What holds it all together is not the complete service, but the juxtaposition; the collection itself demands to be composed over time. Fortunae is aimed at those who give gifts, but also those who choose for themselves, and transforms good luck into a habit, in everything from the collectible porcelain to the morning mug. Objects to cherish, use, and give—without the burden of an obligatory gift.

The Fortunae collection is part of Ginori 1735's historic and manufacturing journey. Each piece is marked with a crown, a symbol of the encounter between craftsmanship and art. The brand speaks of a modern Renaissance, restoring its pleasures and artistic expressions to everyday life. Distribution takes place through stores in Florence, Milan, Paris, Seoul, and London, and through an e-commerce channel reaching over thirty countries. With Fortunae, the concept of bringing art into life and life into art becomes literal. The language of the Fortunae collection is best understood by looking at the maison that creates it. Ginori 1735 crafts pure porcelain in its Florence factory, where technology combines centuries-old artisanal know-how and modern aesthetic sensibilities. After three centuries of cultural heritage, the Fortunae collection shifts the focus to greetings, thoughts, and desires, all while reminding us that a sturdy material like porcelain can carry a lighter message along with it.
