The outrageous, cartoon-inspired boots are taking over streetwear.&nbsp;

The Brooklyn-based <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/new-young-artists-to-watch-2023-gallery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">art</a> collective, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/lil-nas-x-satanic-shoes-launch-human-blood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mschf</a>, has been spurring up controversy with their <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/most-outrageous-fashion-collections-of-the-decade" target="_blank" rel="noopener">outrageous</a> shoes, known as the Big Red Boot (or BRB, for short). Though the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/knee-high-boots-style-fashion-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shoes</a> were just released on February 16 at 11 a.m. (and immediately sold out), many celebrities have already been sporting these <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/cartoon-nail-art-trend-2021-y2k" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cartoon-inspired</a>, over-the-top <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/boot-trends-fall-winter-2022-designer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">boots</a>. Referencing the Japanese anime character "Astro Boy," Mschf designed these shoes after the oversized red boots the character wears. DJ <a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/men/diplo-turns-designer-for-a-brand-new-collaboration-with-gentle-monster" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Diplo</a> was seen sporting the controversial boots at the New York Knicks game alongside new couple <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/emrata" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EmRata</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/emily-ratajkowski-dating-history-post-divorce" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eric Andr&eacute;</a>. He posted a picture on his Instagram, and many other stars weighed in on their opinions regarding the viral shoes. Lil Wayne

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/the-weeknd-announces-new-album-dawn-fm-with-lil-wayne-jim-carrey-and-more" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lil Wayne</a>, or as his fans know him, Weezy, was spotted wearing Mschf's new release shoes this past weekend on the set of a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/rihanna-pregnant-super-bowl-halftime-show-performance-twitter-fans" target="_blank" rel="noopener">music</a> video. He styled the cartoon-inspired boots with an oversized white button-down shirt and striped shorts.&nbsp;

While attending a New York Knicks basketball game, Diplo wore the Big Red Boots. He was evidently very proud of the shoes. He captioned his post: "Just an Astro boy looking for his Astro girl," referencing the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/yoko-ono-best-quotes-john-lennon-art" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Japanese</a> series created between 1952-1968. Many of his followers and fellow celebrities voiced their opinions about the outrageous look. Musician <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/orville-peck-interview-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Orville Peck</a> wrote, "It's not too late to delete this," implying that he doesn't support Diplo's style choice. On the other hand, Eric Andr&eacute;, the comedian who is currently dating <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/emily-ratajkowski-best-naked-moments-instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emily Ratakojski</a>, commented on the post with two red shoe emojis, evidently in agreement with his wearing of Mschf's Big Red Shoes.&nbsp;

Queens-born rapper, Rich the Kid, posted several photos of himself wearing the much-disputed boots.&nbsp;

He posted a photo on his Instagram claiming his love of the statement shoes. He showcased the many ways he styled Mschf's boots, reaffirming his fashion abilities.&nbsp;
