His first show will be during Milan Fashion Week next February for the Fall/Winter 2024 season.

On Monday, Davide Renne was announced as the new creative director of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jeremy-scott-moschino-fashion-moments-runway-celebrity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Moschino</a>, following the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jeremy-scott-leaving-moschino-exit-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">departure of Jeremy Scott</a> after his 10-year tenure. The Tuscan-born designer will begin his new role effective November 1. It would be an understatement to say he's more than qualified given his resume, which includes a 20-year stint working at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/gucci-spring-summer-2024-milan-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci</a> working under <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/alessandro-michele-gucci-creative-director-harry-styles-jared-leto" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alessandro Michele</a> and Frida Giannini.
"Today we welcome Davide to the Moschino family. We have all been impressed by Davide&rsquo;s extremely sophisticated vision of fashion&rsquo;s power to create a living dialogue with the world around us and by his deep understanding of the House of Moschino&rsquo;s legacy and of our codes," said Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of Moschino&rsquo;s parent company Aeffe, in a statement. 
"He is a brilliant designer and a special human being: Franco used to say that bad manners are the only true bad taste, and getting to know Davide, I have been struck, not only by his obvious talent but by his kindness, his sensibility," Ferretti continues. "We are confident that he will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Moschino, a global House with an Italian heart and a truly unique DNA in the luxury industry."
Renne also speaks on his appointment, stating, "Franco Moschino had a nickname for his design studio:&nbsp;la sala giochi&nbsp;&mdash; the playroom. This resonates deeply with me: what fashion &mdash; Italian fashion especially, and the House of Moschino most of all, can achieve with its enormous power should be accomplished with a sense of play, of joy. I am very conscious of the honor that Mr. Ferretti &mdash; a gentleman who has been almost fatherly in his ability to listen and establish a dialogue during our encounters &mdash; has bestowed upon me in taking charge of the House founded by one of fashion&rsquo;s greatest minds. So, thank you, Mr. Ferretti, for giving me the keys to your playroom. I can&rsquo;t wait to begin &mdash; we&rsquo;ll have fun together."
With no one at the helm for this recent <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/color-trends-spring-summer-2024-runways" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spring/Summer 2024 season</a>, the in-house team brought in four celebrity stylists &nbsp;&mdash; Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, and Lucia Liu &mdash; to put on a celebratory show in honor of the House's 40th anniversary. Next season, we will witness what new era Renne ushers Moschino into as he presents his first collection for the brand for Fall/Winter 2024 during Milan Fashion Week next February.
Renne's appointment follows an array of new creative directors who have also just stepped into their respective roles. This includes <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/who-is-sean-mcgirr-alexander-mcqueen-new-creative-director-sarah-burton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Se&aacute;n McGirr</a> succeeding <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/sarah-burton-alexander-mcqueen-exit-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sarah Burton</a> at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/alexander-mcqueen-spring-summer-2024-paris-fashion-week-runway-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexander McQueen</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/chemena-kamali-chloe-new-creative-director" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chemena Kamali</a> taking her place at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/chloe-spring-summer-2024-paris-fashion-week-runway-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chlo&eacute;</a> following the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gabriela-hearst-leaving-chloe-exit-creative-director-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exit of Gabriela Hearst</a>.
