These creative brands are working to expand the depth of jewelry, changing the way we think about accessories.&nbsp;

The fashion industry is constantly moving through quick cycles, but jewelry is one element of the industry that evolves slightly more slowly. When it comes to jewelry, we will always have brands like Cartier, Tiffany &amp; Co., <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/van-cleef-arpels-jewelry-collection-news" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Van Cleef &amp; Arpels</a>, David Yurman, Bvlgari, and many more to lean on. But even with these foundations of the jewelry world, new designers are continually working to expand the boundaries of jewelry, paving their own way into the industry.&nbsp;
From taking discarded pieces and turning them into beaded works of art to translating emotion into abstract accessories, these up-and-coming designers are challenging the status quo of jewelry making.

Don&rsquo;t Let Disco was founded by Ashley Moubayed in 2021. Moubayed took the highly popular trend of beaded bracelets and necklaces and turned them into nostalgic pieces of fine jewelry. Eclectic pieces that may be seen as &ldquo;junk&rdquo; or &ldquo;trash&rdquo; have been reimagined into accessories that honor the collectibility of jewelry.&nbsp;
As well as curated collections, Don&rsquo;t Let Disco also offers community beading bars where people can create personalized charms, necklaces, bracelets, and more. Each piece of jewelry is made from their globally sourced beads and found materials, making each creation unique.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Don't Let Disco will be presenting on September 16.&nbsp;

Brooklyn-born designer Bernard James founded his namesake fine jewelry brand in 2020 with the motto &ldquo;find the beauty in everything.&rdquo; Handcrafted in New York from 14k gold, sterling silver, and leather, his collections turn timeless accessories into sculptural works of art. Known for blending heritage craftsmanship with modern design, James explores jewelry&rsquo;s intimacy and emotional connection through detail and form. On September 15, he will present his brand for the first time at New York Fashion Week.
