Gentle Fendi Collab to Launch Eyewear, Café and Art Installations

The South Korean optical beast does collaborations like no other.

Gentle Monster and Fendi have joined hands to debut 'Gentle Fendi'—an eyewear capsule collection that fuses the South Korean optical beast's cutting-edge vision with the Italian house's iconic craftsmanship.

This exciting new collaboration features two designs, where the first is a metal-acetate sunglasses that surfs the secret-agent trend with the punctuation of a bold Fendi logo, while the other model leans towards a wardrobe essential with a dash of dynamic Fendi and Gentle Monster's "cool kid" appeal.

The Gentle Fendi capsule collection is presented with a campaign film produced by Russian artist collective AES+F (@aesplusf), concretising futurism with a grandiose, bizarre interpretation. Set against a classical architecture, models don the Gentle Fendi sunglasses, surrounded by magical creatures and minimal elements.

And because it is a Gentle Monster collaboration we're talking about, which always breaks boundaries when it comes to fashion collabs, the Gentle Fendi project involves a chain of other events including installations at selected Fendi and Gentle Monster boutiques worldwide; a Gentle Fendi Cafè in its home city Seoul; and a partnership with KakaoTalk to launch sticker characters Gennie and Fennie. 

The projects will be unveiled along with the launch of Gentle Fendi on 7 May 2019 in Seoul.
