Giuseppe Zanotti Brings Serious Cinematic Drama in Fall 2019 Campaign

The Italian luxury brand celebrates the light and the dark; the strong and the soft; the now and the past in its new cinematic-inspired imagery.

Giuseppe Zanotti just released their Fall 20019 line earlier today. The at once evocative yet refined new line was shot by photographer Suffo Moncloa, who gives these shots a distinct film-noir vibe with his rich cinematic lighting and minimalistic and sleek set design. Each image is bathed in soft red to create an invitingly chic mood for the key styles of the seasons, from the slouchy, silver “Hattie” boot to the ornate, couture-crafted “Fleur” sandal to the sensual, mixed-media “Susie Feline” pump. For men, the new season “Blabber” sneaker and croc-embossed “Abbey” boot show up in an equally cool and compelling environment.

“The Fall collection is all about sophistication and chic contrasts,” says Zanotti. “With the campaign, I wanted to portray both facets of the Giuseppe Zanotti man and woman—elegant, modern, individualistic and always with a certain something that stands out from everyone else.”

To accompany the new line, Zanotti also released a campaign video, shot by Sharna Osborne. The kinetic and unexpected reel, full of sharp cuts and mismatched overlays, expertly captures the essence of the new Zanotti line: self-possessed, confident, sophisticated, and playful. The video gives off a certain sense of nostalgia, with its muted colors and moments of static, as if it’s being viewed through an old TV. This distinctly retro vibe juxtaposed with the contemporary spirit of the Fall line brings in a heightened sense of dramatic energy that only makes us want these shoes more.
