Rihanna is a music mogul in every sense of the word. From launching Fenty Beauty to her Fenty X Puma and Stance collaborations, there really is no limit to the BadGal's entrepreneurial spirit.
Back in March, WWD first broke the news that the singer struck a deal with fashion group TechStyle (best known for their Fabletics line with actress Kate Hudson) on a new line of lingerie. Since then, speculation dwindled until today when Rihanna herself posted a cryptic image of two analog television sets to her Instagram with the caption "didn’t they tell u."
One screen shows what looks to be a close-up of some serious décolletage, while the other one depicts white noise. The line comes from her song "Needed Me" in which the full lyrics read, "Didn't they tell you I was a savage," which later became its own viral meme.
So what exactly does this mean? It's hard to say. With the post comes the inevitable questions: Is new music on the way? Or could it be our first glimpse into the world of Fenty Lingerie?
Upon further digging, the latter seems most plausible considering that Rihanna herself is following a mysterious new Instagram account: @savagexfenty. Could this be the name of the lingerie line? I, D even K. So while we can't be certain of what exactly RiRi has up her sleeve, we can be sure of one thing. Her ability to send us into a frenzy with everything she does—or in this case, posts.
