For the 2023 edition of Paris+ par Art Basel, Louis Vuitton, a global associate partner of the event, continues its commitment to art, by presenting a selection of artistic collaborations and original works, including the fifth edition of its Artycapucines collection.

Louis Vuitton's signature trunks, such as Pharrell Williams' Copper Malle Courrier one, traditionally hold all sorts of personal items. But in Louis Vuitton's newest exhibition at Paris+ par Art Basel, the space becomes a trunk of its own, holding curated works by several distinguished artists. The exhibition is already making waves, even before its official opening this Friday.
Once inside, you will find a number of trunks all featuring the iconic lattice pattern lined inside of the brand's trunks since its creation in 1854. A selection of works is displayed throughout the exhibition, from Takashi Murakami's bag and canvas to Damien Hirst's travel trunks revisited to Stephen Sprouse's monogram Alma bag. Several other works surround these unique pieces: three paintings by Richard Prince, a portrait by Yan Pei-Ming, and a painting entitled Finding LV by Refik Anadol, created from AI data. Finally, seven new works, &ldquo;Every Day I Pray for Love&rdquo; by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/yayoi-kusama-biography-book-japanese-artist-robert-shore" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yayoi Kusama</a>, will be exhibited for the first time. The House will also unveil five new models in its Artycapucines collection, by Ewa Juszkiewicz, Liza Lou, Tursic &amp; Mille, Ziping Wang, and Billie Zangewa. This exhibit confirms the Maison's deep and committed connection to art. Born almost a century ago, Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the grandson of the founder, began to call on artists for advertisements and Louis Vuitton perfume bottles and began the brand's decades-long dedication to art.&nbsp;
Louis Vuitton will be open at Paris+ par Art Basel from October 20 to 22, 2023, at the Grand Palais &Eacute;ph&eacute;m&egrave;re, 2 Place Joffre, 75007 Paris. The Louis Vuitton City Guide app offers a new &ldquo;stroll&rdquo; dedicated to contemporary art, with a stop in Paris+ via Art Basel.
