Maison Margiela Fall 2018

Glitter helmets? Knit-tweed hybrids? Scratchy nylon parkas? No, it wasn't a post-apocalyptic, psychedelic-influenced rave, it was Maison Margiela Fall 2018.

Quirky headdresses and subversive fashions have become the norm for Margiela. Under the creative direction of John Galliano, we've seen a more playful, fearless, and shiny side of the storied French fashion house. Taker all the transparent PVC and sheer fabric accents, for example.

As for make-up, bright statement lips came in shades of green, blue, and shimmering silver glitter: the perfect complement to an eclectic, out-there collection.

Ahead, see our favorite looks from the show.
