Nike and Off-White have released a new soccer-inspired collection titled "Football, Mon Amour." It's quite a personal collection for the latter's founder and creative director Virgil Abloh, who loved playing the sport during his youth. Abloh, as we know, has always been an advocate for mixing elements of high-fashion and streetwear.

“The great thing about the vocabulary and history of football is that aesthetically it has its own look. I was always inspired by the way European teams have a sponsor printed over the chest. When I was working on this collection, I wanted to celebrate the different variants of typography," says Abloh.

The black and white checker pattern recalls Czech strips and utilizes a lion as its mascot.

Football, Mon Amour will go on sale at Nike's online store on June 14.
