Several fans are wondering if the on-screen chemistry between the leads of the Netflix series "Bridgerton" is more than just fiction.

Netflix&#39;s hit series <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/video/decoding-bridgerton-netflix-success-cast" target="_blank">Bridgerton</a> has been at the top of everyone&#39;s&nbsp;queue since it&#39;s debut on Christmas Day. The Shondaland show captured viewers with its Gossip Girl-esque narrator, meddlesome&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/meet-the-cast-of-bridgerton-netflix-shonda-rhimes" target="_blank">characters</a>, and passionate love affairs. Enter: leads Phoebe Dynevor and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/rege-jean-page-next-james-bond-007-movie-bridgerton" target="_blank">Reg&eacute;-Jean Page</a> as Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. Audiences watch their love story play out from loathing each other to declaring their love (the &quot;I burn for you&quot; scene? *swoon*) to a marriage stalemate to being madly in love&nbsp;all over again. The rollercoaster tale is filled with drama, intrigue, and lots of sex, which has viewers wondering if it was really all just for the cameras.

In a recent interview with <a href="https://www.accessonline.com/videos/bridgerton-rege-jean-page-laughs-off-cast-dating-speculation-all-the-sparks-that-flew-came-off-the-scripts" target="_blank">Access Hollywood</a>, when questioned about their off-screen relationship, Page said, &quot;I think that everything you need to know is on camera. All the sparks that flew came off the beautiful scripts we were handed.&quot;

When speaking with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2021/jan/17/bridgerton-phoebe-dynevor-interview" target="_blank">The Guardian</a>, Dynevor mirrored the sentiments, saying the two&nbsp;were &quot;very good mates.&quot; Currently, the co-stars are oceans apart, as Page lives in Los Angeles, while Dynevor is currently in England.

While they may not be a couple in real life, viewers will likely see the pair reunite as Daphne and the Duke in a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/bridgerton-netflix-series-season-2" target="_blank">second season</a>. While Netflix has yet to renew the series, showrunner&nbsp;Chris Van Dusen told <a href="https://collider.com/bridgerton-interview-chris-van-dusen-race-sex-season-2-netflix/" target="_blank">Collider</a> he would like to do eight seasons, to properly follow the Julia Quinn&#39;s Bridgerton&nbsp;novel series on which the show is based. &quot;This being a family of eight children and there being eight books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings. For each character, for sure.&quot;
