Starring in multiple major films this year, Robert Pattinson is having a standout 2026.&nbsp;

Robert Pattinson is on a generational run with four major movie releases in 2026 and two more slated for 2027.
Pattinson, 40, is also breaking records and showing off his versatility as an actor, proving he can excel in everything from romantic comedies to sci-fi epics.
In April, Pattinson starred in A24's&nbsp;The Drama opposite Zendaya, and a few months later appeared with his costar in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.&nbsp;Next, he's set to lead the true-crime thriller Primetime, also from A24. The film is scheduled for a September 25 release date.
In December, Pattinson will take on a new role in Denis Villeneuve's highly anticipated Dune: Part Three, joining a star-studded cast that includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, and more.&nbsp;
Surprisingly, Pattinson has made it this far in his career without ever earning an Academy Award nomination—maybe this year might be the actor's lucky break. Don't forget to look out for Pattinson's upcoming films, reprising his iconic Dark Knight role in Batman II and starring alongside Denzel Washington in Here Comes the Flood, both set for a release in 2027.&nbsp;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Drama</h3>

From director Kristoffer Borgli, The Drama follows&nbsp;Emma and Charlie, a happily engaged couple, who are about to get married when a shocking confession disrupts their lives. Their wedding week is completely thrown off the rails, and their seemingly perfect relationship is put to the test. 
Pattinson stars as Charlie alongside Zendaya as Emma in this black romantic comedy, set and filmed in Boston. In one of the best marketing stints of the year, the A24 team even went so far as to place a mock engagement announcement in the print edition of The Boston Globe, for "Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson," complete with fictional biographies and a wedding date set for April 3, to tease The Drama's release day.&nbsp;
The Drama&nbsp;is now available for streaming on HBO Max.&nbsp;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Odyssey</h3>

Pattinson appeared as the villainous and arrogant Antinous in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster summer epic The Odyssey. Pattinson previously worked with Nolan on the 2020 film Tenet. 
Leader of the suitors in Ithaca, Antinous vies (unsuccessfully) for Queen Penelope's hand in marriage while Odysseus is away at the Trojan War, and ridicules Prince Telemachus. Pattinson's dramatic delivery of one line in particular, "Somebody get these beggars out of here," has become a viral sensation on social media.&nbsp;
The Odyssey is currently showing in movie theatres, but only 25 locations across the country support IMAX 70mm. Some alternative formats for seeing the film are&nbsp;IMAX Digital or&nbsp;Dolby Cinema.&nbsp;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Primetime</h3>

In the new thriller from A24 and director Lance Oppenheim, Pattinson stars as Chris Hansen, host of the investigative true-crime television show To Catch&nbsp;a Predator,&nbsp;which&nbsp;ran from 2004 to 2007 on Dateline NBC.
The film chronicles Hansen, who, in 2006, sets out to make television history by designing undercover&nbsp;sting operations to catch child predators. Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers also star alongside Pattinson in Primetime.&nbsp;
Primetime will be released in theatres on September 25.&nbsp;

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Dune: Part Three</h3>

Pattinson takes on the mantle of an antagonist once again in Dune: Part Three. He plays&nbsp;Scytale, the shapeshifting villain who features in Frank Herbert’s second book Dune Messiah, and seeks to undermine the reign of Paul Atreides.&nbsp;
“When I was doing Dune it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything,"&nbsp;Pattinson said in an interview with <a href="https://www.indiewire.com/features/interviews/jennifer-lawrence-robert-pattinson-die-my-love-interview-1235158489/">IndieWire</a> in November 2025, explaining what it was like to film Dune: Part Three in the harsh desert climate. "And it was so relaxing, like my brain actually wasn’t operating; I did not have a single functioning brain cell.”&nbsp;
Dune: Part Three is set for a theatrical release on December 18.&nbsp;
