<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/you-season-3-trailer-release-date-penn-badgeley" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Penn Badgley</a> and Meghann Fahy are officially set to co-star in You Deserve Each Other, the film adaptation of Sarah Hogle&rsquo;s cult-favorite romantic comedy. Directed by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, the novel follows Naomi and Nick, an engaged couple who fall out of love with each other before their wedding. Not wanting to be the one to call it quits, the pair decide to mess with one another in order to make the other one end the relationship first.&nbsp;
Before the casting was confirmed, the internet had already been buzzing about the duo thanks to a playful (and very public) exchange on Instagram. It began when Badgley praised Fahy&rsquo;s performance in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/who-is-milly-alcock-sirens-actor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Netflix&rsquo;s Sirens</a>, calling her a &ldquo;refreshing gawky beauty.&rdquo;

From there, the comments turned spicy. &ldquo;Chill on the body stuff,&rdquo; Fahy replied after a remark about long arms. &ldquo;I never watched You,&rdquo; she later joked, referencing Badgley&rsquo;s hit thriller <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/you-season-5-cast-controversial-ending-plot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">series</a>. &ldquo;You succeeded without your support,&rdquo; he clapped back. &ldquo;And without your range,&rdquo; she fired off.
The bantar ended with a Reel from Badgley saying, &ldquo;Butterfly effect is crazy because if I&rsquo;d never met Meghann Fahy on the set of Gossip Girl my life would be exactly the same,&rdquo; Fans were left wondering if the feud was real&mdash;until the casting was released.&nbsp;
Turns out, the feud was just foreplay for a rom-com reunion. While details on production and a release date are still under wraps, all that&rsquo;s left to do is wait&mdash;and watch these two battle it out on the big screen.
