Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios annnounced on Instagram that <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/isobel-waller-bridge-music-alexander-mcqueen" target="_blank">Phoebe Waller-Bridge</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/donald-glover-shines-in-the-new-star-wars-trailer" target="_blank">Donald Glover</a> will be starring in&nbsp;a remake of Mr. &amp; Mrs. Smith. The original film, which starred <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/angelina-jolie-opens-up-about-the-struggles-of-motherhood-children-movies" target="_blank">Angelina Jolie</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-brad-pitt-photos-jennifer-aniston-90s-movies" target="_blank">Brad Pitt,</a> was an international box office hit. In its new form, Amazon Studios will reshape the story into an action comedy series set to premiere sometime in 2022.

In her Instagram post, Salke shared screenshots from Glover&#39;s own social media announcement.&nbsp;&quot;Mr + Mrs Smith. Donald Glover x Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Co-created with Francesca Sloane. New Regency + Amazon Studios,&rdquo; wrote Glover. &ldquo;Amazon Prime Video 2022.&rdquo;

Both actors have both found previous success in the comedic realm. Waller-Bridge&nbsp;received two Golden Globes for her work on Fleabag, as has Glover for his role in the FX series Atlanta. The pair have previously worked together in&nbsp;Solo: A Star Wars Story. Glover starred as a young Lando Calrissian, while Waller-Bridge played a&nbsp;voiceover role as&nbsp;L3-37.&nbsp;
