Get to know the rising stars behind Sterling Point, the latest coming-of-age TV drama on Prime Video.&nbsp;

Prime Video's newest coming-of-age TV series,&nbsp;Sterling Point, is pop culture's latest obsession, and rightly so.&nbsp;
The heartfelt drama follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin),&nbsp;who lives in New York with her twin brother, Connor Jacobson (Keen Ruffalo), and their adoptive father (Jay Duplass). Annie's life takes an unexpected turn&nbsp;after she and Connor inherit their estranged grandfather's island in Canada. There, she finds new friends, explores budding romances, and discovers untold family secrets. It's a summer that rewrites everything Annie has ever known.&nbsp;
Megan Park, best known for writing and directing the film My Old Ass, is the&nbsp;director, co-showrunner, executive producer, and creator for&nbsp;Sterling Point. Park's "smart and funny" screenplay won the interest of industry giants Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who signed on as executive producers for the show—entertainment executives Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley are also listed as executive producers.&nbsp;
Sterling Point is a fresh, authentic, and original story in the YA genre that's been having a television resurgence this year, with hit shows like the campus drama&nbsp;Off-Campus (Prime Video),&nbsp;the hockey romance Heated Rivalry (HBO Max), or the Los Angeles high school thriller The Shards (Hulu/FX). It seems young adult life is the perfect canvas for television writers; it's always rife with love, angst, and melodrama.&nbsp;
Sterling Point features a talented roster of up-and-coming actors: Ella&nbsp;Rubin, Keen Ruffalo, Amélie Hoeferle, and Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie lead the young cast, accompanied by Bo Bragason, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, and Mabel Strachan. As for the adults, no YA tale is complete without some parental figures, so industry veterans Jay Duplass, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Missi Pyle round out the cast.&nbsp;

Ella Rubin stars as Annie Jacobson in&nbsp;Sterling Point, her first leading role in a television series.&nbsp;The 24-year-old started her career as a child actor in the rom-com&nbsp;The Rewrite. Rubin showed off her theatre chops and made her Broadway debut in the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2019 revival of Tennessee Williams' The Rose Tattoo. Rubin's&nbsp;appeared in the&nbsp;Oscar-winning film Anora and starred&nbsp;alongside Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You. She's also known for her television roles in Netflix's&nbsp;The Chair (2021) and Hulu's The Girl from Plainville (2022).&nbsp;

You probably know Keen Ruffalo as the oldest son of actor Mark Ruffalo. In Sterling Point, the young Ruffalo made his acting debut as Connor Jacobson, Annie's twin brother. The 25-year-old actor first got a taste of the movie industry as an extra on Begin Again (2013), which starred Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley, and he had an uncredited role in Marvel's&nbsp;Thor Ragnarok (2017). As he told&nbsp;<a href="https://www.culturedmag.com/article/2026/08/04/film-keen-ruffalo-sterling-point/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CULTURED</a>, it took more than 100 auditions to finally unlock his big break. Stepping into the spotlight with Sterling Point, Ruffalo will appear next in the indie comedy Nimrods, opposite Mckenna Grace.

Amélie Hoeferle is a German-American actress best known for her roles in Eddington (2025), Night Swim (2024), and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds &amp; Snakes (2023). In Sterling Point, Hoeferle plays Ramona Campbell. Annie first meets Ramona when she arrives on her grandfather's island in Canada, and the two become fast friends.&nbsp;

Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie is a Canadian actor from Quebec best known for the film&nbsp;Une Colonie.&nbsp;His performance received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2019. On&nbsp;Sterling Point, he plays Ellis, the son of the local marina manager, who quickly falls in love with Annie. Ellis and Annie's "will-they-won't-they" relationship keeps fans guessing until the very last episode.&nbsp;

English actor Bo Bragason plays the free-spirited character Oona, part of a group of friends that Annie meets when she comes to the Canadian island. Bragason has been in multiple BBC One series: Three Girls (2017), The Jetty (2024), and King &amp; Conqueror (2025). She is set to star as Princess Zelda in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of&nbsp;The Legend of Zelda from Nintendo.&nbsp;

Mabel Strachan plays Maple, Oona's younger sister, in a recurring role on Sterling Point. She previously appeared in The Ridge (2025) and The Undertow (2026).

Daniel Quinn-Toye plays the former piano prodigy Rory on Sterling Point, one of Annie's love interests. No teen drama is complete without a messy love triangle, right? The 23-year-old Scottish actor attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and the Dance School of Scotland before making his professional debut as Count Paris in the West End theatre production of Romeo and Juliet. Next, Quinn-Toye will appear in the upcoming science-fiction film Voltron with Henry Cavill, and the coming-of-age drama Sunny Dancer alongside Bella Ramsey.&nbsp;

Nikko Angelo Hinayo is a Filipino-Canadian actor and musical theater performer. They play Sully, one of the supporting characters in Sterling Point, in their first major television role. Hinayo was starring in a production of the musical&nbsp;Legally Blonde when they first auditioned for the show. &nbsp;

All eight episodes of Sterling Point are now available for streaming, exclusively on Prime Video.&nbsp;
