As <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/the-pitt-season-2-release-date-trailer-cast-noah-wyle-taylor-dearden-patrick-ball" target="_blank" rel="noopener">season 2 of The Pitt </a>prepares to wrap up, with the finale airing on April 16, fans and showrunners alike are already looking towards the next season.&nbsp;
While details on season 3 of The Pitt are scarce so far, several updates on the show's cast have emerged. As <a href="https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/the-pitt-supriya-ganesh-exits-season-3-ayesha-harris-1236705534/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Variety</a> reported, Supriya Ganesh&mdash;who plays senior resident Dr. Samira Mohan&mdash;is slated to exit the show ahead of season 3. The news also came with another cast decision, which sees Ayesha Harris&mdash;who plays night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis&mdash;promoted to series regular from recurring character.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">The Pitt Season 3 Cast: Why is Supriya Ganesh Leaving?</h2>

When it comes to beloved cast members, Ganesh is near the top of the list. Since she first appeared in season 1 of The Pitt as Dr. Samira Mohan, Ganesh has delivered a complex, alluring performance week in and week out. Despite her character's positive reception among viewers and The Pitt's extensive online fanbase, the actor is bidding farewell to Dr. Mohan.&nbsp;
Per Variety, Ganesh's departure has been solely influenced by storytelling decisions. In season 2 of The Pitt, viewers see Dr. Mohan struggle with her future as she narrows down placement choices after her residency in the emergency medicine department ends.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">The Pitt Season 3 Cast: Which Actors Are Staying On?</h2>

As of April 2, there are no major actor exits aside from Ganesh.
