The popular internet comedian has been cast as one of the newest members of Saturday Night Live.&nbsp;

Saturday Night Live may be saying goodbye to some familiar faces&mdash;Michael Longfellow and Heidi Gardner among them&mdash;but the late-night institution is also opening its doors to fresh talent. The newest lineup includes a standout name already beloved online: Veronika Slowikowska, better known to fans as &ldquo;Veronika is cool.&rdquo;
Slowikowska, 29, first carved out her comedic identity on TikTok and Instagram, where she&rsquo;s amassed over 700,000 TikTok followers and an impressive one million on Instagram. Her sketches, often tinged with awkward and dry humor, helped propel her beyond social media and onto the screen. She&rsquo;s appeared in FX&rsquo;s cult-favorite horror comedy What We Do in the Shadows and Netflix&rsquo;s Tires, showcasing her versatility as a performer.

Born in Barrie, Ontario, to Polish immigrant parents, Slowikowska studied at St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School before pursuing acting at the Randolph College for the Performing Arts, where she graduated in 2015. She later completed the Canadian Film Centre&rsquo;s Actor&rsquo;s Conservatory in 2020, cementing her path as a rising comedic force.
Now, Slowikowska joins SNL&rsquo;s 51st season alongside Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, Tommy Brennan, and Ben Marshall of Do Not Destroy. With her unique voice and sharp humor, she&rsquo;s poised to bring a new dimension to the sketch comedy stage, as well as bring her one million-plus followers to watch her on the screen.&nbsp;
